No and I doubt administration 47 is interested in pardoning this defendant. State charges were filed first and 47 has no legal basis to pardon this person from those charges. Federal charges are also pending and will likely proceed. 47 looks for political points or money and in this case may use the situation to undermine Minnesota politically. Minnesota has no death penalty so that may be where 47 tries to undermine Minnesota and gain talking points.
