Yes, they should in theory. In truth, their "tyranny" is more "Obammers wuz black and takin our guns" Which...no, regulations aren't the same as banning.
Furthermore, the military swears an Oath to defend thr Constitution first, before the president or superiors. If a soldier complies with an illegal act according to the Constitution, they have broken their Oath.
@NerdyPotato Most of today’s antiwar voices actually come from people who served in the military. During the Iraq War, many troops didn’t support the mission but followed orders anyway, out of fear of what would happen if they didn’t. General Petraeus had a nickname: “General Betray-Us."
There are many people in the military who don’t agree with the government, but they can’t speak out. That’s why so many develop PTSD or carry guilt over actions they didn't agree with. Given the military’s strict chain of command, it’s hard for soldiers to disobey orders. They know the consequences of insubordination.
@Jokersswild that's what I'm afraid of in this situation too, and it becomes only more difficult when the high ranks are replaced by people who are loyal to the president and care as little about the constitution as he does.
Put it this way, America will be the last country in the world to get invaded because everyday a Russian soldier or Chinese soldier would be shot in the head. Yes,I believe Americans would use guns to fight the government also if it got to that point! Of course, if you took away their money or forced them to do something, they would definitely fight the government, especially those southerners.
Didn't you get all worked up when they did that in Minnesota or Michigan or something? Do you know about the Korean militia during the Rodney King riots?
@basilfawlty89 Well had i been alive at the time I'm sure i would have been against it. for whatever that could possibly be worth.
Hey what about when Henry the 8th locked his wife in the tower of London then had her executed? Did you protest then? I thought it was just awfully excessive even for Henry !!
Why do y'all hate strong women in power like Pam Bondi? Are you intimidated by them? Do Democrats think a woman's place is in the home? More of the Democrat Party's war on women. First Roe v Wade was overturned during the Biden Democratic administration, now this. Democrat misogyny and stripping of women's rights at its finest.
@iamthe99 Answering a question with a question. 😂 Classic diversion. This is why...
And THIS is what I asked...Why do y'all hate strong women in power like Pam Bondi? Are you intimidated by them? Do Democrats think a woman's place is in the home 🤔?
More of the Democrat Party's war on women. First Roe v Wade was overturned during the Biden Democratic administration (of which Kamala was a part 😂), now this. Democrat misogyny and stripping of women's rights at its finest.
@whowasthatmaskedman as true as that is, and respectful of your opinion sir, it is actually much easier if you do have the ability to defend yourself. jus sayin
@GerOttman We agree. But if you do "bear arms" under the US Constitution that is your duty. It has little to do with bravery..Owning a firearm is for the stated purpose of defending that nation. The man who staood unarmed in the path of the tank in tiananmen square was brave. (Probably dead now, but brave) [media=https://youtu.be/FaojdRThXbY]
