King Charles III was captivating while delivering the throne speech. I watched on tv and I was impressed by the grace and dignity the King and Queen presented themselves on your countries behalf, while underlining your sovereignty and independence. I understand the monarch is a divisive topic in your nation. I'm not a fan of the monarchy either, but you have a powerful ally in the King and the commonwealth and this is a great moment for you to flaunt it.
Start taking defence seriously Canada. Defending the NW passage has never been more important with China and Russia knocking on your door from the Arctic. Your country used to be a leader in diplomacy and peace keeping but your leadership has left your military to rot.
Hypersonic missiles are a real threat that my country is not prepared to defend, and the 'golden dome' isn't a joke. it would be wise for your countries leaders to take part in this program too.

@newjaninev2 I don't disagree, as I am also categorically disappointed in the President of my country. But my President won the election, the results were decisive, and here we are...
For everyone else: Hypersonic missiles are a real threat to the safety of my country. I do not care what you want to call our proposed defence strategy ( 'golden dome', 'MAGA-dome', 'con-dome' ) but we're exposed and need solutions. Canada, our ally and reliable neighbour, will be wise to be part of the solution too.

If it won't be ready until he's out or nearly out, why would they accept? What he's asking is for them to fund it. Chances are overwhelming that it won't come to fruition anyway. He rarely ever produces results on future projects.

Canada should tell Trump the same thing he told the Ukrainian president – your not holding any cards.
Trump’s dome won’t work unless he puts satellite dishes in Canada. So maybe Canada should make Trump a counter offer and say – we will let you put dishes in Canada if you give us California and we will make it our 11th province. Cheers!

@JimboSaturn @Nanoose respectfully i disagree, and here is why: while my president undermines the importance of defending against hypersonic missile threats by reducing the issue to a sound bite for media, the threat is very real and we are not in a position to defend against it. set 'golden dome' propaganda aside and lets talk as allies about how to best work together to address this problem.

It's another case of the emperor's new (nonexistent) clothes.
There is no "golden dome." It's literally pie in the sky. We don't have the tech for space-based interceptors. We don't have good enough sensors or tracking. We don't have the requisite directed energy weapons. We don't have an integrated command & control system to manage all the other nonexistent components.
And the technologist tRump would turn to to achieve all this? Elon can't even get the body panels to stick to the frame of the truck he developed🤣😂😝🤣😂

@JimboSaturn Yeah, we could. Except it was shut down for being a scheme to defraud its students. Plus, attendance requires signed NDA's, daily servitude exercises, and hourly devotionals that claim no one knows more about a long series of topics, disciplines, and subjects than he does.
