What should we make of a USA president who claims "we don't care about selling goods and services to external markets?"

When did the USA stop being a capitalist country?

The ultimate in capitalistic statements!

https://newrepublic.com/post/194920/donald-trump-admits-no-trade-deals

“We don’t have to sign deals. They have to sign deals with us. They want a piece of our market, we don’t want a piece of their market. We don’t care about their market. They want a piece of our market,” Trump rambled.

Capitalism is based on aristocracy! Trump truly believes he better than everyone else! And the same for the USA against the world.

What AI thinks about that statement...
Capitalism often leads to significant wealth disparities, which can create an environment where elites, like billionaires, may feel superior to others. This perception can be reflected in political figures, such as Trump, who may embody the attitudes of privilege and entitlement associated with wealth and power.

Notice it doesn't disagree!
The elite IS the aristocracy!

Aristocracy -> Feudalism -> Mercantilism -> Capitalism/Oligarchy.

One without the other then there's no capitalism. Or even Oligarchy.

Remember Bernie Sanders recent speech calling Trump's administration a Oligarchy.

The same similarities are there in both. It's why Trump admires Putin.

@MarkPaul you can thank me anytime for the history lesson!

@DeWayfarer You mean thank AI (or as you probably refer to it, A-1). In any case, it perverted the point of the discussion, so you really just threw us off-track. But, I am not holding that against you... this time.

@MarkPaul I waiting for the fiction of Trump's papal election! Thats alternative horror stories enough for me!

That's nothing to do with being "capitalist" or not.

Virtually every country in the world trades with many others, irrespective of their political and economic systems, but that statement effectively says,

"We don't care about exporting to balance our imports."

In other words,

"We don't care about our country losing money."
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@ArishMell It means he doesn't believe in free markets, a trade-based economy, and a form of government price controls.

Texas Made Oil

Wisconsin Made Cheese

Detroit Made Vehicles

USA Zenith and RCA Made Televisions and Radios

Florida and California Made Orange Juice

Washington Made Apples

American Made Guns

USA has the resources to make everything inside their own country... Their big enough.

We can give up a few things like touch screens and bring back vacuum tubes. Yes, finely no more computers and cellphones. We finely go back to way it was.

See again. You're pointing a great positives that our country so needs.

I'll take my best comment now please and thank you 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@HumanEarth Request denied.

Don't worry I saved it from the last time you gave me one

What should we make of a USA president that says "I just took two cognitive tests, aced them both."
Why did he take them in the first place?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Slicker24 Because he wanted external validation that he has a high IQ even though the test he took didn't measure IQ. He figured it would be an easy and lazy way out.
@MarkPaul Exactly, they measure if you are all there. If you understand simple things if you can concentrate, So what should we make of him?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Slicker24 That he's basically a savant. He can concentrate on 5 words, tell the difference between a drawing of a giraffe and an elephant and brag about his results that he claims only he, and he alone, is able to master.
