Honestly the Trump administration has me wanting to be a criminal defense lawyer

Or an immigration attorney but I'm in my late 30s, I don't know if it's too late to go to law school. I don't want to graduate by the time I'm 70 haha 😅 I hear it's a long time. But I really feel the need to go into law.

Had a friend that went back to college at 50 and got her Phd at 62 or 63 and is still in her profession in her 70's!

You could be a paralegal or other tasks to assist defense lawyers.

My career took me into a legal path, where I now prepare technical assistance for the legal system. A “detective” of sorts. I have no legal education at all.

@DunningKruger That's inspirational actually, must have worked hard to get that. I wouldn't want to be a prosecutor personally, I'd more want immigration or criminal defense just because the authoritarian regime has taught me something personally, it feels right for me.

Can’t be that long…CA is one of the few states that allows legal apprenticeship, and that’s just three years apprenticing before you can take the Bar exams.

@Vetrov Haha I didn't mean any offense, I think it's great you're doing it. I just didn't know if there's time. I always think of law school like phd type of degree time just because it's law. Seems like one of those things but I could be wrong, I just assume.

@basilfawlty89 Haha yeah I don't know why I thought it might be too late. Actually what might stop me is funds, I don't know if I have it and this is a dangerous time to take out loans lol. Kind of sad to admit but i do wonder.

However it's good to know it's not too late.
