While it's ok for the SEC def to leak....

The Justice Department on Friday rescinded a Biden-era policy that provided protections to journalists in leak investigations, paving the way for authorities to once again use subpoenas and compel testimony from reporters in probes targeting leakers.

"Federal government employees intentionally leaking sensitive information to the media undermines the ability of the Department of Justice to uphold the rule of law, protect civil rights, and keep America safe. This conduct is illegal and wrong, and it must stop," Attorney General Pam Bondi said in an internal memo issued on Friday and obtained by NPR.

Land of the free?....I think not..

I know leaking can be problematic, but I'd argue that government employees work for us, so that we own the work product.

Trying to suppress whistleblowers or intimidating journalists are not smart moves. If federal departments are as leaky as sieves right now it would be wise to step back and ask why this is so.

@SunshineGirl We know, illegal activities are a staple of demonocrat policies
@SunshineGirl The only reason the entire tRUMP misadministration is up in arm s about leaks is the rampant crimes, lies, hidden agendas, grifting, bigotry, illicit drug use, scams and other instruments of evil that are the very fingerprints of this collection of incompetent misfits.

This isn’t a Presidential administration; it’s a crime syndicate! 100 days in and the populace is crying for impeachment!

@SunshineGirl nothing new here, just another nail in the coffin of democracy.
Just think a little over twenty-three years ago we congress voted to depose a dictator and his government.
And wonder why historians have loved to used the term, America love to eat their own.

Let congress have a say, then can make the next move, let us just hoping that they use a rook on their next move to protect the queen. Just don’t push pawns.

Biden leaked all the time. It is why jill had to change his diapers so often.
When Pistol Pete Hegseth leaks it’s 100 proof!

@sunsporter1649 And that literally has nothing to do with original post . .
Convivial · 26-30, F
@SunshineGirl in their mind it does.. Nothing confidential was found on her servers therefore that's PROOF it was scrubbed... Lol
If it threatens national security, I say prosecute.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@NativePortlander1970 good luck with that ....
@Convivial Snowden and Assange created a lot of national security damages, and ruined numerous barely cordial alliances with other countries.
