Well, he's a good writer but it looks like I'm better off taking my economics experts here who assure me he knows nothing. Much like everyone else who disagree with them.

@FreddieUK Well I have not come across a single economist who considers tariffs to be a good thing. Quite the opposite in fact.
Have you?
Have you?

@Adeptlinguist Nope.

@RoguishEyes We don't have to imagine he's a convicted felon and an adjudicated rapist though do we.

@RoguishEyes Anyone can have an imagination without being a liberal to have one.
For instance, you can be conservative and have an imagination, you can be centerist and have an imagination, Heck! you can even be apolitical and have an imagination.
Many kids around the world, aged let's say... 3 to 13 have no political alignments whatsoever, yet have vivid imaginations.
Using myself as an example.
When I was a kid, I had no political alignments, yet I was always very curious and imaginative.
Then, when I entered my teenage years, I discovered I had very conservative values, yet my curiosity and imagination never diminished.
Heading into my early adult years, I had very slight liberal leanings, and was still as curious and imaginative as ever.
These days, I'm a centerist and still as curious and imaginative as I was when I was a kid.
My point is that you don't always have to be <X variable here>, in order to be <Y variable here>.

Stephen King says Trump’s tariffs are ruining the economy? Right. This from the man who once wrote a book where a haunted clown lives in a drain. I’ll take my fiscal advice from Martin Lewis, thank you very much—not Pennywise the Pound-Wrecker!
The only thing Stephen King should be putting tariffs on is his word count. 700 pages to say ‘the dog was scary’? Come on, Steve—keep it tight! 🤷
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I don’t trust horror writers on economics. If Edgar Allan Poe had handled the 2008 crash we’d all be living in basements with talking ravens and no heating!

...talking ravens...
I beg your pardon!?

@AlanAPartridge You don't need to be the weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

@CorvusBlackthorne Honestly, I always suspected The Raven was less ‘gothic allegory’ and more ‘feathered chrononaut’.
So the bird’s from space, is it? Typical. Comes down, haunts a man for 84 lines, leaves no forwarding address. Very Area 51 meets Alan Bennet.
Hopefully you make a film about yourself- The Raven arrives in a steampunk TARDIS, quotes ‘Nevermore’, then lasers a Victorian banker. I’d watch it. Twice.

@Patriot96 Have you ever been in a building that you just knew was built badly? Follow up question. Do you have a degree in architecture, or otherwise have some proof of your expertise?
Or how about this? Have you ever started to read a book that you just had to put down because it was awful? Did you need to have decades of experience writing novels to know that it was bad?
Do you understand?

Now there's an expert opinion. 😂🙄

What no ones buying his expensive books
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@MarineBob I like to read as much as the next person, probably even more than, but living in a small house with a finite amount of shelf space, I do all my reading on-line.
Also, at times, it's more convenient to listen to audiobooks on YouTube.

@MarineBob Stephen King's books have sold an estimated over 400 million copies worldwide. Stephen King's film adaptations have earned a collective box office revenue of over $2.9 billion. Celebrity Net Worth estimates Stephen King's net worth at $500 million.
So even though he may not have a degree in finance, he does have expert advisors to talk to. It's also pretty clear what the finance and investing experts on Wall St think.

Now that's more horrifying than IT, Carrie, The Shining, Cujo, Christine, The Stand, or even Eduard Delacroix's gruesome execution in The Green Mile, combined.

Well then that should give up a new movie material
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Stephen King's brain is pickled from all the alcohol and cocaine he abused for decades.
