More Edvidence of a Setup: Sen. Lindsey Graham Says He Warned Ukrainian President Zelenskyy He Would Be Baited Into a Trap Set by Trump and Vance.

Immediately after the disastrous White House meeting on Friday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said that he had warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy earlier on Friday morning not to "take that bait."

That suggests that he was anticipating some kind of confrontation, despite White House denials.

How many cease fired with Ukraine has Russia violated slready? All Zelenskyy asked for was a security guarantee with the deal and Trump can’t trust Putin enough to do it.
I can't for the life of me see why they'd turn on the cameras before the thing was signed, unless, 1) they were really stupid about who Zelenskyy is, or 2), they knew who he was and it was a setup.

I get wanting to get Putin to the table, and how they needed him to keep his mouth shut to do it, but this looks like a setup to me, and not a well done one at that.

I hadn’t heard this?? I try to keep up with Lying Lavish Lewd Lindsey since he is my horrible Senator?? All I read about was him criticizing Zelensky.

@TheShanachie

You should write to him (not call, not email, type up a letter, mail it and ask for a response).

Write to him and ask him what happened to him since his good friend Sen. John McCain passed away?

Ask him what McCain would think?

If you voted for him in the past, say so! And say why!

If you supported his 2016 presidential bid, definitely say so! And say why!

Be polite but firm.

@beckyromero I never have or would vote for him, but have tried to contact him before in various methods. The last time I did this I wound up reporting his phone number to both Verizon and Apple for hateful and aggressive messages. It does no good to contact Graham he will simply send you Trump propaganda.

@TheShanachie

A letter always works better than a phone call or email. Don't include a phone or email address, just your mailing address. That would then result in a letter reply.

When you ask a specific question, a form letter would have to be tweaked.

Quote what he has said in the past:

“Let’s secure our friends,” Graham said, “and if at the end of this (Putin) has not paid a price, if Russia is not isolated, if they’re continuing to be members in good standing with every international organization, shame on us all.”

And that was just about the invasion of Crimea!

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) held a news conference to discuss Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the U.S. response. Senator Graham called on the Senate to vote on a resolution to send fighter jets and air defense systems to Ukraine.

It's not important if it was a set up.

peace takes work

And what exactly has your pretend-president done to foster peace? He has aligned america with the brutal russian régime, refused to criticise putin, blamed the victim of Russia's aggression, and acted as if moral leadership and the international rule of law are somehow subordinate to his imaginary 'business acumen'.

America is no longer the leader of the Free World, and now I'm not sure if it even qualifies as a member.

@SinlessOnslaught It's better than being tacitly acquiescent.
@newjaninev2 I've never heard that phrase before. Had to look it up.

@MarkPaul
...offering up mineral rights which which will guarantee Russia won't re-invade with American interests and personnel there on the ground.

Which of course we know is nonsense because Russia has made no such guarantee. But no one ever presses Trump on this. Except that "Putin hasn't lied to me."

So? Then Trump should be asked, "Has Putin agreed to this or are you just hoping he will?"
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@beckyromero He won't answer that question and now that he controls who gets to ask the questions, that question won't be asked. Like everything with Cry-Baby-trump, it's all about his fragile ego... how greatly respected he is, how no one is laughing at him, how Putin would never lie to him.

Graham needs to come out of the closet already.
