You realize that you're talking about the same guy that has the all-time single-term high-score for national debt, right? The guy who gave out billions of dollars in fraudulent loans during Covid? The same guy who decided giving tax cuts to billionaires was worth losing $2 trillion in revenue?
And let's not ignore Musk, the guy that spent $44 billion on a company currently worth less than half that, who broke Twitter and now wants to fix the US government with the exact same strategy

@sree251 If you want to call yourself a woman, that's your business. I don't really care about that. But you just randomly shoved misogyny into this conversation and I totally wasn't expecting it.
What's wrong with me? I guess I could stand to lose like 10 lbs, maybe get a haircut. Nothing too problematic, fortunately. Thanks for asking

Misogyny. I knew it would come up sooner or later. I guess you are a diaper changing, baby stroller pusher also if you are not gay.
The fat, I can deal with; even the long hair is ok. It's the woke head that really gets my goat.

@sree251 It's kinda hard not to bring it up when you're comparing people to women in order to insult them.
No I don't have a baby, just a loving relationship that brings happiness and fulfilment to my life. But I'm sure picking fights with strangers on the internet is equally as nice
If bringing up relevant and verifiable facts counts as woke, I guess I'm guilty. Would that imply that someone like you prefers to be asleep?

If "Team Trump" was serious about reducing the budget deficit, they would do well to address the estimated $1.8tn per year of income tax lost to fraud and under-staffing in the IRS. Instead they talk about redploying tax agents to border patrol 🤦♀

@sree251 That is your opinion. It is not the opinion of Congress and Trump has no democratic mandate to abolish federal income tax. Anyone who is interested in making federal government more efficient (as opposed to Musk's using this as a smokescreen to get rid of government altogether) cannot look beyond endemic corruption among the rich and a weak revenue collection service.

@SunshineGirl
Why do you want to pay income tax for? Is it just so you can tax the rich? The rich have tax lawyers to get around tax laws. It's like catching rats or chickens with your hands. In the end, it is the poor like you and me who get to pay taxes.
It is corruption in government that hurts the poor. Doing away with government is a good thing. Government should be abolished. Federal employees are as lazy as the people working in the US Postal Service. American society should be run as efficiently as a private company like Amazon.

@sree251 Yes, that is where we started. $1.8tn lost annually to fraud and waste. Still, of that which is collected, 89% paid by the top 25% of earners. Which makes it a progressive tax which burdens the poor and unwaged much lesscthsn sales taxes. And sales taxes would have to increase by a lot to make up the shortfall.
The last time I used Amazon, their delivery driver decided to leave a cardboard parcel of books out in the pouring rain instead of under my front door porch. Do you have any idea how soul destroying it is trying to get an AI assistant to understand my "dissatisfaction" as a customer?
In the UK Amaxon workers are paid legal minimum level wages to work in warehouses often subsidised by local government through property tax breaks. The taxpayer then subsidises Amazon further through tax credits and housing benefit to their workers who cannot afford to cover the basics on their salaries. In short, Amazon is not a great example of an efficient private sector operation.

Yet Democrats and their woke supporters are losing their minds over Team Trump’s efforts to trim fat and waste.
That's how the MAGAs are positioning it.
In reality, the objections are not to cutting government waste, it's to the wrecking ball wholesale policy of tossing the baby out with the bathwater.

That's been the goal of the left for many years
sree251 · 41-45, M
@nudistsueaz How did it infect the family? I am in a family of Catholics, and we all say grace when gathered for dinner. The woke ones in our midst would look down from on high, in silence. I can hardly stop myself from bursting out laughing - every time - before we made the sign of the cross.

My family is inclusive even if we are not diverse. The woke need us even if they won't admit it. It's the woke who want inclusiveness. They won't go their ridiculous bizarre way; they need to be in our face, and they would blame us for being intolerant.

Can we stop pretending the Republicans are cutting waste? The Fascists won, y'all can be honest now. You can acknowledge Project 2025.

To hell with the original term. Deep State, to me, is the US Government, a body of entrenched parasitic bureaucrats and corrupt politicians including those hired by them to live off taxpayers money by doing jobs of one kind or another.
This is your perspective. Whatever the case, Trump will do what he wants and can do in his second term. I am happy as long as he can pull the US out of foreign wars, and stop the proselytizing of woke values in America.
Well the real "Deep State" is capital. That's what the term original meant. It referred to the billionaires who create policy through funding politicians.

So really, Project 2025 is just the endpoint of what the Deep State has always been fighting for. That's why the billionaires all consolidated around Trump. He's just the warm body they're using to sit in the White House and sign whatever they give him.

Too bad all of the spending was caused by W Bush and trump. two of the very worst presidents ever! Looking forward to giving the republicans a “wake up call” when the dems shot everything down in a couple of weeks. WooHoo! 😁
