US drowning in red ink — as Democrats block spending cuts

The federal government is racing toward a fiscal cliff, with a new report citing a mind-numbing $838 billion cash shortfall just for the first four months of the fiscal year.

Yet Democrats and their woke supporters are losing their minds over Team Trump’s efforts to trim fat and waste. Do they want Uncle Sam to go belly up?

I am surprised at the speed Project 2025 get implemented. I thought it would take years to deal with Deep State. Trump is chopping it to pieces in a matter of weeks. I could not see how Trump could faced down the establishment at the DOJ, and the Pentagon. Trump is more brutal in taking government bureaucracy apart than Genghis Khan.

@sree251 Well the real "Deep State" is capital. That's what the term originally meant. It referred to the billionaires who create policy through funding politicians. So really, Project 2025 is just the endpoint of what the Deep State has always been fighting for. That's why the billionaires all consolidated around Trump. He's just the warm body they're using to sit in the White House and sign whatever they give him.

To hell with the original term. Deep State, to me, is the US Government, a body of entrenched parasitic bureaucrats and corrupt politicians including those hired by them to live off taxpayers money by doing jobs of one kind or another.

So really, Project 2025 is just the endpoint of what the Deep State has always been fighting for. That's why the billionaires all consolidated around Trump. He's just the warm body they're using to sit in the White House and sign whatever they give him.

This is your perspective. Whatever the case, Trump will do what he wants and can do in his second term. I am happy as long as he can pull the US out of foreign wars, and stop the proselytizing of woke values in America.
