You know what DEI is, and so do I. American society is as diverse as the creatures of the planet. Survival of the fittest is the lore of nature. Going against nature is DEI. Why do we want to do that?

There is nothing bad about UA's program as long as the new pilots are as good as the best pilots in the airline business. We don't want people in the cockpits for their gender and color unless the planes are sitting on the ground.

Women and people of color can be as good as white men. They got uppity when they were convinced by PBS and NPR that all women and people of color are as good as the best white men.

Affirmative action is a set of policies and practices that give special consideration to groups that have been historically discriminated against. The goal is to address systemic discrimination and create more opportunities for these groups.

DEI is affirmative action broken down into its parts.

@sree251 Affirmative action takes race and gender into account when hiring people, which I disagree with.

DEI simply does outreach to communities that were historically shut out from various fields. I have no problem with that.
