Have PBS and NPR been pushing DEI idology?

President Trump's new head of the Federal Communications Commission has ordered an investigation of NPR and PBS, with an eye toward unraveling federal funding for all public broadcasting.

The US Government has got to stop fooling around with the American mind.

This is now turning into blatant state control of media. Trouble is, many people will be happy to have their prejudices confirmed and be glad to see the back of well-researched and evidence-based journalism. NPR and PBS are, I understand, the home of thoughtful and culturally enriching programing so watch out for that disappearing.

I marvel at your marbles. Try brains instead. Trump has done nothing to manipulate peoples' lives. NPR is a hotbed of liberal thought, with no conservative representation. Whatever the other side is, you will never hear it from them.

Just like you didn't hear about Hunter's laptop until after the 2020 election. Then and only then did the Jewels of lies of omission concede that indeed Hunter is a felon and deserves to go to jail for endangering the well-being the people of this country by making crooked deals with the communists in China.

What he is stopping is NPR from manipulation of the American public through lies of omission.

In 1970, the Mississippi state government tried to ban Sesame Street because the cast was "racially integrated."

So yeah, I guess PBS was pushing DEI ever since the seventies.

@sree251 Affirmative action takes race and gender into account when hiring people, which I disagree with.

DEI simply does outreach to communities that were historically shut out from various fields. I have no problem with that.
