@Wales I too have compassion for women who find themselves in unplanned and unwanted pregnancy situations which is why I donate my money supplies and time to pregnancy care centers. We just have different priorities when we say compassion. Like I have said, if pro life says “ abortion should be illegal “ but offer no alternatives the words would be empty but there are different alternatives. No woman has to choose abortion Especially since around 99.5% of unplanned pregnancies are due to consensual sex.

Just because there are people who support abortion doesn’t mean it is right. There have been things that have been legally accepted but immoral. Like slavery and oppression of women and whipping children. People take laws to the extreme. Abortion use to be accepted early in pregnancy but now is supported up until the moment of birth. The more advanced we have become the more barbaric we have become.

It is and always has been legal to save the mother’s life first. The thing is there is absolutely no reason to intentionally and deliberately kill the baby to save her life when an induction for an early delivery or a c section can and should be done. A life limiting diagnosis or an abnormality isn’t a reason either. Most of these are found after 21 weeks when the baby can survive outside the womb. If it has a heartbeat it deserves to be born. Palliative nurses provide end of life pain relief to ensure that the baby doesn’t suffer An emergency c section can be done in a half hour. A late term abortion can take up to three days. If an abortion would erase the trauma of rape I would support it but it doesn’t. Wether she keeps the baby or choose adoption, Not all but most women are not sorry. ( I have never met one )

Most animals are not slaughtered alive. If they are this has to be reported and stopped. I believe Michael Vick should have gotten life without the possibility of parole for participation in the dog fighting
If you think it should be considered murder to kill and eat animals. Why is should it not be considered murder to kill human beings? What do you suggest we should do about the over population of animals? Do you think we should watch them starve?

@SatanBurger Babies that have been born severely deformed, and who have died two minutes after birth have looked in their mother’s eyes before they died, and the mothers will tell you that it is the most precious moment of their life. Look up.Jaxon Buell and see if you think that baby would have survived, or he would have even been born alive.

It looks human when it’s being ripped apart because it IS human. Everyone should be emotional at this thought.. I wouldn’t like to hear about you or anyone else being ripped apart alive. this is barbaric

Two babies are born one is from rape can you tell the difference by looking at them? Does rape make that baby any less human?? NO. And that baby had no choice in its conception girl, and it shouldn’t get the inhumane death penalty for its fathers crime. whether she chose to keep the baby or give it up for adoption. I don’t know one woman who is sorry that she chose to give birth following rape. I have sat in on many sexual assault support groups. There are also women in these groups who have had abortions who aren’t sorry and there is no judgment. But they all say that they wish that they would have met with another victim of rape right away and may have made a different choice. Had they realized giving birth to their baby, could have brought joy either to their lives or another family

If a woman is going to go through the surgical procedure, and have an abortion to ensure a dead baby comes out. Why couldn’t she choose the surgical procedure C-section or have her labor induced and give birth to a live baby even if she doesn’t want to have anything to do with it, there is somebody who dies

Why all this fuss about human infants? Don't you care anything about the trillions of animals bred into existence and kept in confinement in factories and then slaughtered for the non-vegan diet predominant throughout this world of more than eight billion humans who are causing all kinds of harm to the environment and each other? Every time you purchase one of these animal derived products you are paying for this cruelty and slaughter. Far fewer humans is what this world needs. Unless you have a way to find loving homes for the millions of unwanted and neglected children in this world, bringing more into it is ridiculous. People should be told to stop having kids as this is taking a terrible toll on animals and the environment. I am more than tired of hearing people talk about their children and grandchildren. I am grateful to all the thoughtful and sensible people who have never and will never reproduce themselves. Antinatalism should be taught in schools to undo all this pronatalist propaganda. Bringing more humans into this world of suffering and sin is a harm and people want to have their own children for selfish reasons and then find ways to protect their little monsters from outsiders being harmed and burdened by them.

This is a virtue-signal. "Post-birth abortions" are already illegal.
There are some rare cases where a baby is born with health conditions so severe that it is legal to pull the plug on them, but it's like that for people of any age. It's unrelated to the abortion debate.

It is virtue signalling and political theatre. 93% of abortions happen before 13 weeks. It takes another 10 weeks before a fetus can even survive outside the womb.

So we are talking about a bill that claims to protect a hypothetical that is only possible on a fraction of the 7% of later term abortions. And it takes about 23 weeks for a fetus to survive outside the womb so even abortions that happen after 13 weeks don't necessarily fit in the category of a fetus capable of surviving.

This would be such a rare hypothetical as to make this simple pandering and not a serious bill.
