This is a virtue-signal. "Post-birth abortions" are already illegal.
There are some rare cases where a baby is born with health conditions so severe that it is legal to pull the plug on them, but it's like that for people of any age. It's unrelated to the abortion debate.

@missyann He obviously ignored the CNN article I replied with.

@BohoBabe now you know that if the baby was born missing half its skull and a third limb out its stomach, pro birthers be like "if you pull the plug it's murder!"
Sht they be on some silent Hill nurses type stuff to be honest. Literal horror movie

@SatanBurger I can't even say that's an exaggeration, because there actually was a case in Louisiana where a woman was forced to carry and give birth to a baby with half a skull, just so they could bury it.

@BohoBabe Wow. That's really traumatizing to do to someone. Yeah I'd love to think it's an exaggeration, trust me, I wish it was but I've argued with one too many pro birthers for my comment to be incorrect.
If I was bold I'd make a horror game about it. Some of what they talk about is literally straight from a survival horror game. For real. I've played tamer horror games than what they say about women and birth if that gives you an idea.

@SatanBurger so it’s more humane to rip that baby apart while it’s still alive
Jaxon Buell was born without a complete skull and lived for 5 years. An extra limb can be successfully removed. A third term abortion can take up to 3 days and she has to give birth anyway. She can be induced or have a c section and know that her baby wasn’t ripped apart alive. If she doesn’t want to see the baby there is palliative care to ensure pain control and nurses who hold and love a baby through the dying process.
Fetal abnormalities NEVER justifies intentionally, and deliberately ending in the innocent human life. Now give me another excuse.

@missyann when the fetus is in the womb, it doesn't really develop until later stage. So birthers letting the baby be born with its brains hanging out just so they can kill it after it's alive because it can't be viable outside the womb is cray cray.
The only reason you think is ripping a fetus apart is because it looks human so you think it feels and thinks like you in the womb as an already born human. This emotional thought process governs decisions over what actually needs to be done sometimes.
Nobody likes abortion, not even the people who make the decision but you can't let emotions override what's right.
For instance if a kid is raped and gets pregnant, if they want the baby with no coercion to keep it, then let them but forcing them to go thru trauma because YOU feel attached to the idea of a baby is wrong IMO

@BohoBabe it is alive. Otherwise there will be no reason to kill it.
most deformities are found after 21 weeks when a life can be viable. And abortion requires medical surgery. Why can she not have the procedure of a C-section instead of the abortion. Why does the baby have to be ripped apart and pulled out dead ? There have been errors in diagnosis Doctors are not in fallible.. if it never took a breath, then it would have died. It wouldn’t have been murdered. If it would have lived 30 seconds or one minute it’s warm body deserves to be held in someone’s warm arms.
Even if the diagnosis is correct, and it will be born dad, or will die shortly after Tell me why after 21 weeks does it to be intentionally and deliberately killed. Just please tell me the difference.

@missyann We're not talking about most cases, we're talking about one specific case where the doctors determined that if born, the baby wouldn't live very long due to missing half of its skull. In a sane world, the woman would have been able to get an abortion. But because Louisiana now has these draconian laws, she had to carry the fetus to term.
I don't know what this means.

@BohoBabe What I am saying is after 21 weeks when a baby can be viable Why can’t she have an induction or a C-section which are both considered medical procedures and allow all the baby to be born no matter how long it’s going to live instead of having the medical procedure of an abortion to ensure the baby is ripped apart alive
I don’t believe that she should have to carry it to full-term just until it can be considered viable
