It's not the Church's role to be party political: it is it's role to reflect God's love even when anger and vitriol are in fashion. Human powers will more often than not be upset when they are reminded that there's is a borrowed, temporary power. If you are going to invoke the name of God and claim to be the Chosen One, expect those who have more than a childish grasp of faith to point out the what that actually means.

@NativePortlander1970 The court rejected the plaintiff church's allegations that it was being selectively prosecuted because of its conservative views and that its First Amendment right to free speech was being infringed. so free speech won in the last court ruling..

@markinkansas There is a reason why the first amendment is called the anti establishment clause as well, it strictly forbids the government from endorsing any one religion, freedom of religion also means freedom from religion.
