“I don’t trust the MSM; I do my OWN research!”

Translation: I watch random YouTube videos, whose algorithms ensure that I only find “truth” that I'm comfortable with.
Yes, don't trust the companies with vast resources and global reach. Trust the conspiracy theorist outlet with zero reach and a load of opinions based on what they've watched on mainstream media.

I’ll do my own research!

Their own research == parroting whatever they hear from Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan
Pretzel · 61-69, M
to be fair it takes viewing more than one source - and running the stories through the BS filter - to try and get a semblance of the truth
@Pretzel Not if that involves eschewing all reputable sources.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@Arboven agreed

but the problem is that one person's reputable is another person's disreputable one - that's why I think it takes several sources
@Pretzel and that’s the crux of the problem. People will just automatically discount many sources (mostly MSM) because they’ve been “told” not to trust it, and because doing their “own research” makes them feel superior.
There ya go.................."truth"..........you're comfortable with.

In plain English.........lies you want to hear.

Nothing wrong with being sceptical of mainstream media. They have a longggg history of deception.

@Arboven ok, what post of mine fits that description?
@gol979 Immediately found this one.

@Arboven eh? Whats wrong about that? Imo that is a tall tale. I dont get how that is being "superior"?
