Canada...well that escalated quickly. Deputy PM and Finance minister throws a grenade on the way out the door

Kristia Freeland just walked with a scathing resignation letter an hour before she was supposed to deliver the fall economic statement.

Trudeau is MIA and everyone is panicking on Parliament Hill.

Apparently Freeland didn't even give her own staff a warning.

Well, this is unnecessarily alarmist. There have been growing tension between Trudeau and Freeland since the summer... this didn't really come out of nowhere. And, this literally just happened today, so expecting an immediate response is neither reasonable nor expected by reasonable people who practise disciplined behaviour. And, while it is true Trudeau has not publicly responded (yet), that is hardly an indication he is "MIA."

I think you should reflect on just how much you crave attention and how often you use extremist language to try to get it. And, maybe you should leave reporting the news to those of us who are professionally trained.
@MarkPaul It is not alarmist at all. It is literally what happened. While that is true blowing this up right before the fall economic update is a big deal.

It is not that he was not issuing a public statement. I also decided to skip question period. So yes, not showing up for work at all is called being MIA.

And I am not the one desperate for attention. That would be you.

And again you feeling the need to gain attention by lying about your credentials for no reason.
They'll be fine.
@Dignaga Canucks means Canadians... This is a joke.
@SinlessOnslaught Canada is indeed a joke. It is time to heal the divide between our people and end the civil war they started in 1776. It's time to reunite. Just like South Vietnam and North Vietnam. Or the War of the Roses.
@Dignaga I am thrown for a loop.

See, this is your political system falling apart and you want to concern yourself with americas politics, maybe you should fix yours before you worry about ours
@Prison1203 You really don't operate within objective reality, do you?

@CountScrofula Yeah. Same. And a weak leader with chaos within their own ranks is the last thing we need right now.

I am sure you know this but even Alberta is already saying they will effectively usurp federal power within the province by creating their own border agency, Doug Ford seems ready to plunge a few US border states into darkness....literally and even NB seems ready to go it alone against Trump.

She certainly did but it was just as much bailing off the Titanic before the ship goes down.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Oh Alberta is just fully cosplaying Texas or Florida or something at this point. The border patrol is insane they're just pretending its the southern border and its all kiss up to Trump stuff. The government is literally nothing but outsized right wing posturing.
@CountScrofula Well the Manning institute has been importing Republicans to indoctrinate Alberta conservatives for half a century. So that does actually have some truth to it.

The point I was making is with leadership MIA in Ottawa all the crazies at the provincial level feel like it is a free for all.
