It's more along the lines of, people respond to narratives more than they respond to facts. Obama used facts all the time, but he presented them as part of a bigger narrative.
Also, Harris didn't really talk about policy outside of abortion. Trump's narrative may be disconnected from reality, but it is a narrative that everyone understood. Plus he was amplified by billionaires like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel.

@trollslayer Extremely annoying if any of the low life’s on this web site are to be believed.

@Elessar the reality is Democrats assumed no reasonable American would vote Trump. Their mistake was assuming most Americans are reasonable. When you have people expecting that “inflation going down” means prices decreasing to 2019 levels, you really can’t win with reasonableness. Democrats failed to empathize with the unreasonable. It’s like my wife - she can tell me she is freezing cold and wants to turn on the heat, yet the thermostat says the same temp it did two months ago when she said she was roasting and wanted to crank the ac. She would rather believe there is something wrong with the thermostat.

I find it sad yet interesting that the GOP has managed to make "educated" synonymous with "elitist".

I’m convinced Kamala never wanted the job . In her entire career she has been very good at what she was tasked to do.

I'm convinced that Trump never wanted the job either.

@SandWitch I can totally believe that. Like an NBA player who loves the baller lifestyle but doesn’t give a shit about basketball.

Considering based on the facts a majority elected Trump based on vibes alone makes this sadly probable.

In 2016 they gave us trump to stop Sanders. Americans might want change, but yet another election proves you cannot matter! Nah hah heh! You hated me and all communists and now you may fail to have peace and pray for community. You can hope and pray for centuries.

I'm probably sure hamsters are more intelligent than most of the majority. If Hollywood movies that have a more complicated plot can't make it with the majority, then what does that tell you? Big sentences confuse people, better keep it in small pictures, humans r dum dums.

Being able to effectively communicate is first, last, and always the way to win elections in any country during any time in history. Instead of being offended, the antidote is to take it to heart and improve the skill.

Facts like the border is secure, the economy is booming, kindly old dictator is a stable genious, crime is down? Those kind of facts?
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@sunsporter1649 yep. Kinda hard to present facts on any of those when people already feel differently.
SandWitch · 26-30, F
Americans were doomed as a society long before this past Presidential Election was even thought of in the first place.
