Trump is saying "We gave the choice on abortion back to the states"....as if that's supposed to be a good thing.

How is women dying or losing their ability to have children a good thing just because their state got to take away their right to bodily autonomy?

Come on, MAGA, pro-birthers....make this make sense.

Last i checked most women aren't dying by being pregnant
Most aren't dying giving birth
How does NOT having an abortion make a woman lose their ability to have children
@pdockal

Correct. But an awful lot of women are injured or even die as a result of complications during pregnancy.
You can google that. It's easy.

How does NOT having an abortion make a woman lose their ability to have children

"Patients with ectopic pregnancy and premature rupture of membranes may experience significant delays in care because of the presence of a fetal heartbeat, putting the mother at risk for permanent infertility and loss of life"

They should abort because of the possibility of complications?
That's absurd

Remember there are options before intercourse
@pdockal

They should abort because of the possibility of complications?

No, they should abort when there are dangerous complications. That link was in reference to your question about how not having an abortion could cause infertility. Now you know it can.

Remember there are options before intercourse

Remember that in many of these cases the women fully intended to carry the pregnancy to term but that the fetus can become unviable and/or threaten the woman's life and health....but that under "StaTEs RighTS" to control her body she will have no ability to protect herself in that scenario.

Think about that for a moment. Your mother or sister or daughter or firend got pregnant with her husband, she wants the baby....but tragically the fetus is unlikely to survive and her health or ability to have children in the future or even her life may be at risk if she is not allowed to abort.
....could you tell her to just carry the pregnancy to term anyway? Would you tell her that she should have thought of this before getting pregnant?

This is not a hypothetical scenario. This is reality. Would you like to see the government get to be the ones to tell your loved one that they WILL risk their health and life regardless of what they want?

Don't assume you know the thoughts of my family
No woman in my family would consider abortion in any circumstance

No matter how you attempt to justify or twist nothing will change our minds
It was wrong from day one and will always be wrong
@pdockal

Don't assume you know the thoughts of my family

I didn't. I asked you a question.
Are you honest enough to answer it?

Every woman you care about can and should have the choice, the choice to carry a pregnancy to term even at risk to herself.
The question is, would you force her to carry it even if that was not her choice?
Would you be comfortable letting your government take that choice away from her?

I'm not asking you to decide abortion is right, i'm just asking you to honestly answer those questions.
Please do so.

@Pikachu

Stop trying to twist everything
If you read my prior posts you'd understand
@pdockal

All i've done is affirm the right of the women in your family to choose for themselves and ask you whether you want either yourself or the government to be allowed to take that choice from them.

I'm not sure what you consider to be twisted about that.

I'll ask you to wait 10 minutes, think about those questions and then answer them honestly.
They're just questions. They won't hurt you. You're not bound to anything by answering them...but do address those questions even if you find them troubling or they create confusing feelings for you.

Be thoughtful and honest. That's all i'm asking of you.

@pdockal Ignore the young lady, talkinng in circles is her speciality
@pdockal Actually it is because women have the option to choose when and how they get pregnant that death in childbirth has gone down.

Death in childbirth was once much more common and it is not just because we have better pain killers.
@pdockal It is also interesting that you assume you can read the minds of every woman in your family and make decisions for them.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

Yeah i thought that myself 😬

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

Your clueless about my family & friends
There is NO issue when getting pregnant ever
Im not reading anybodys mind
We've had discussion regarding this
We/ they all think abortion is murder

@Pikachu

Read above
@pdockal

I've given you my thoughts and my time.
Please show me the same respect.

I asked you two questions. What are your answers to those questions?
@pdockal You absolutely are reading minds. You assume what you are told in public matches their inner feelings.

It is well understood that what Conservatives, particularly women say in church and in public doesn't line up all the time with the ballot box or their feelings in private.

There have been pregnant women going to non existent concerts or events out of state and come back not pregnant. This is an open secret.

Also it is also ludicrous to assume a woman is being honest in public when socially there is only one answer that is permitted. Anything else means being shunned best case scenario.

Even the way you frame it as murder is coercive.

Your delusional
I know what my family & friends need & want & think about this

@ilikeitlikethat23

Blah blah blah
My mental capacity is just fine
I don't listen to .... IDK .... no polite way to say what you are .... ABORTION IS MURDER
@pdockal And as expected your only response is angry insults.

And it is very probable no woman is honest with an extremist like you.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

Not insults but the truth
The women in my family raised me to respect life rather then kill it and that's where my attitude regarding this issue comes from
Not everybody is as cavalier as you regarding killing life precious life
I'm fine with my attitude and so is my family
Choice starts long before pregnancy

I'm done with you & this
@pdockal Interesting since you seem to have more respect for a cell cluster than actual human females.

@pdockal "most are not dying"
If two women die because of an untreated, lethal pregnancy, is that alright? Dead baby, dead mom, that is alright by you?
Say your beloved, pro life wife got pregnant. You both are joyous. Then, you discover that the fetus is stuck and developing in the fallopian tube. It is an impossible pregnancy. If left untreated(abortion), your wife will suffer a rupture and either dies, or loses the ability to ever carry a child.
You okay with that? Sounds like you are. And that's all cool.
But how can you make that decision for anyone else?
