Latest Media BS Narrative...Robert Saleh Fired By NY Jets For Lebanese Flag On Shirt
Robert Saleh, who has been the NY Jets head coach since 2021, was fired yesterday after only the 5th game of the year. Sports media pundits are claiming it's because of a Lebanese pin or patch he wore on his shirt.
Nevermind that the NFL was actually encouraging players and coaches to wear something depicting their heritage. Both of Saleh's parents are from Lebanon.
Nevermind that Saleh's record was 20-36.
And it's probably just a coincidence that team owner, Woody Johnson, served as Trump's ambassador to the UK.
He knew Saleh was of Lebanese descent when he hired him. I think it had way more to do with the fact that his team constantly underperformed. Saleh was a way better defensive coordinator than he was a coach. Im sure he will get another job as a defensive coordinator. One thing about the NFL, if you are good, you will have a job, regardless of your political beliefs. There are plenty of left wingers and right wingers who have jobs in the NFL. Just be good at what you do.

Saleh was the 49ers DC for a number of seasons. He was very successful, and became a favorite for head coaching positions. Successful coordinators don't always make great head coaches. And a good part of the 49ers success on defense during Saleh's tenure was that the 49ers had 4 or 5 1st round draft picks in their starting front seven. They were loaded with talent.
