Illegal immigrants do not get free money

If they are getting financial assistance it means they have qualified for a program that provides it. If they qualify for a program, that means they have begun a legal process and qualify to be here during said process.

Further, the existence of these programs do not preclude Americans from getting assistance. If we cut all immigrant aid programs that money would not automatically go to veterans, disaster relief, or anything else for native born citizens. It would take separate government action to fund those programs. And since those programs are not already being funded, the people you keep electing to represent you have no desire to prioritize funding them. Otherwise it would be done by now.

We can debate whether certain programs should exist or not. But each program stands on its own. This anti-immigration scapegoating is just that. Nobody is going to help you after these programs are ended. The money won't be freed up for people who need it. Not veterans. Not disaster relief. It will go to more tax cuts for the same people who ship our jobs abroad and lay us off at the smallest economic tremor.

At least you called them illegals.

My husband and I were going to Boston for the Army/Navy game last December. Until our hotel reservation was canceled so they could house illegals. They said they were going to find us another hotel to stay at. When we found out where it was we declined and sold our tickets. It was over an hour and 15 minutes away. Which they failed to tell us.

The Migrant Crisis on both sides of our Borders stems from the utter boneheaded Foreign Affairs and to a lesser extent the Business Cycles that the Federal Reserve creates in our Bubble Economy. If the US Government had never contributed to destabilize Other Sovereign Countries for control over their Natural Resources with our so called Foreign Aid, Sanctions, Trade Embargoes, and Arm Sales, we wouldn't be experiencing the unintentional consequences of our porous Borders on both Canada 🇨🇦 and Mexico 🇲🇽.

Our utter ignorance of Foreign Affairs is obvious to anyone since the US Government supported vicious Dictators and Oligarchs in Sovereign Countries which brutalized and impoverished their Citizenry using the Militaries, then they're seen as our Puppets by their Citizenry. It’s contributing to the very chaos you're viewing now at the Border. The US Citizenry is asked to subsidize for the cost of "Free" Education and Healthcare Benefits for Migrants and Refugees who invade our Borders desperate to care for their families due to their Countries being destabilized to begin with.

Your Government created the very same problems US Taxpayers are now forced to pay for.

The Political Indentured Servants on Capitol Hill and State Capitols aren't about to tell anyone about the Financial Incentives and the Legalized Bribery they get for their support for these policies since they know they'll be hunted like big game animals, tarred, and feathered if their Constituents found out about all the Money Politicians get in their Coffers.

We create the Monsters we eventually become afraid of.

The Migrant Crisis is nothing more than the symptom of the underlying contributing factor the United States is forced to bear responsibility for.

American Voters completely missed the point by making the same arguments we've heard before. This is nothing more than PR Damage Control, Government is expected to solve the very problem that the US Government destabilized in the first place. The Left argues that we need to provide Welfare assistance to these young Immigrants (WHO PAYS FOR THAT?!), the Right would bus them to the other side of the Border and deploy Drones to keep them out.

The plain fact is, the Migrant Crisis on our doorstep is Blowback and an Unintended Consequence of bungled US Immigration Policy on both sides of the Southern Border. Of course, it's directly traced to the blood soaked Federal War on Drugs, creating unlivable conditions in Countries that produce Narcotics for Export to the United States. Violent Drug gangs are the main motivation for their departure. The US Citizenry want to use Drugs, Latin Governments to the South are bribed and bullied to crack down on Local Producers. The resulting Violence destroyed Economies and Lives from beyond Mexico to Nicaragua.

Ending the failed War on Drugs really solves 50-75% of the Immigration Crisis. It's common sense and Reality, "WHEN YOU SUBSIDIZE SOMETHING, YOU GET MORE OF IT and it compounds your problem. It's been proven, A Nation without Borders is not a Nation and A country that will not and cannot secure it's own Borders will not forever be a Sovereign Nation.

The United States Government supported Dictators and Oligarchs in Latin American Countries who brutalized and impoverished their Citizenry then to drive them north in desperation to feed their families. Who of us wouldn't do that?!

The 1994 North American Free Trade Agreements/2005 Central America Free Trade Agreements has dumped subsidized corn into Mexico, dispossessing Peasant Farmers. Large Corporate Employers exploit these Immigrants because they're frightened and use them for cheap Labor suppressing working conditions. The Federal Mandates on the States compelled to give Free Healthcare and Education, and other unaffordable Benefits have bankrupted Schools, Hospitals, and undermined our Tax System. US Taxpayers pay that cost too.

Immigrants and Refugees can have every right to come and assimilate under International Law at their own expense and responsibility. They don't get anything except for what they themselves have earned. US Taxpayers are hurting economically due to our phony Monopoly Money, Inflation, and the Malinvestment of the Business Cycles the Federal Reserve creates. These Economic factors misdirect the hostility and certain Communities are seen as a threat.

We can enforce the Rule of Law and our National Sovereignty without being cruel to Immigrants and without building a Wall (wouldn't solve anything and would be very costly). In a Free Society where the Warfare-Welfare State ceased, Immigration Laws would be far less important. A truely healthy Free-Market Economy would seek Workers rather than Immigrants to add to its Welfare rolls.

If 20 People lived on a privately-owned island for example, one Owner could decide to have a guest on his Property without bothering the other 19. Were we to move in this direction in the United States, the Immigration Policy would be solved.

Tell that to the people of Ashville.

@MrBrownstone

Tell it to the Republican Senators and Representatives whose opposition lopped billions off of FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund, and the Republican Senators and Representatives who voted against the bill in its final form. You’ll notice from the blurb I’m including that they were the only ones to vote against it. In fact, Mike Johnson said the funding is “sufficient” when clearly it is not, and doesn’t want to bring the House of Reprsentstives back into session to address that. Good thing Bidennis able to summon them for an emergency session.

Another indication that there is likely nothing to this claim is the fact that every time a right winger repeats this claim the amount magically grows by billions.

I prefer illegal immigrants to MAGA coup supporters. I’d give them funds first.
@Bumbles You would certainly be safer if we are basing things on facts.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
The whole thing about the adjective "illegal" is a crude smokescreen blown up by people who oppose immigration and asylum fullstop.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 I'm referring to the 95 odd % of them that fled those like you show.
Unfortunately facts are not much good when dealing with emotional outbursts.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
And of course all 25,000,000 have been properly vetted, right?

The only way we are ever going to change the government is if all stop taking money from them, if all stop being dependent on them.

Why do you want to be controlled by other people?
trollslayer · 46-50, M
True. But try convincing the bigots.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@trollslayer What nationality is illegal immigrants?

Your description seems prudent also 'tax cuts. Most bebefit the biggest earners.
Tell that to my bff in Denver that got kicked out of her weekly motel room she was staying in so that a migrant would get it.

@sunsporter1649 Totally different than allowing 5,000 per day and that was negotiable, but no, the Republicans shut down any discussion or voting.

Oh, and the emergency authority was shutting the border completely.

This was a Bill both parties worked to get put before both houses, so yeah, this is absolute proof they (Trump and the MAGA crowd) want the border as a tool.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Ontheroad Yeah, 4,999 a day is less than 5,000 a day, you finally got something correct
Ontheroad · M
Are you purposefully missing the point? I think not, you just want to go on and on about nothing.

There was every opportunity to pass meaningful legislation and the Republicans refused.

That's it, and I'm done going back and forth.
