Will this next hurricane affect the 2024 Election 🌀

Yeah we got another one on the way. No I'm not talking about a baby either. I'm talking about a hurricane. Named Milton. 🌀 It's headed for Florida this time. Now since people have been up in an uproar over how slow this Biden Administration has responded. Keep in mind these are red states. Do you think that this will affect the way people see Kamala.
Yes or no. Comments.

Project 2025 includes guidelines for cutting disaster aid. Whether this actually gets implemented or not we'll not know til the time comes but voters should be informed:

Storms are getting bigger, stronger, more destructive, more expensive, just as science has been telling us it would. The warmer ocean waters are creating hurricanes on steroids. It's seriously time for us to stop conflating science with politics because people are dying or losing everything.
@Musicman read the link. Or google your own.

@robingoodfellow Leftist propaganda lies will get you no where. in the debate Trump said on national TV that he has never even read it let alone write it. So try again.

A list of Trump's people who have authored it. They say they expect him to reject some things and accept others. Which is what I said in my original comment about whether or not it's implemented is to be seen. But voters should be informed about it.
You can do what you want with it, you can believe he'll reject it all if you want.
But it's out there.

Let us examine the Government's track record on;

Hurricane Katrina
Hurricane Rita
Hurricane Sandy
Hurricane Harvey
Hurricane Maria
East Palestine, Ohio
The Hawaiian Island Fire to name a few...

If anyone was possibly paying attention to the National Embarrassment of the Government's response to and the Photo-Ops that followed, that in and of itself should've brought to bear the ineptitude of the US Government. It's well known by Voters, Taxpayers, and Consumers, the US Government's Bureaucratic mismanagement of Disaster Relief. Puerto Rico was the undeniable living embodiment why "Good Intentions" never benefits the Citizenry. The road to Hell is paved with Good Intentions.

Bureaucrats claim they want to "Help". All I would note, If the utter Embarrassment of Hurricane Katrina was any indication of how the US Government operates, How is it that anyone honestly expects this Disaster and the Photo-Ops that follow to be any different?!

No one should forget;
"And Brownie, You're doing a Heck of a Job" It's been yet again proven once again for the World to see, An inept Government cannot fail those it doesn't serve.

@Broache73 Let it be known that the republicans pulled out billions in FEMA to help with disasters. It would be hypocritical to think that they would do any better.

Even trump lies about the communication the Governors had with a decent, caring President.
plankter979 · 51-55, M
Hopefully she can use this as an opportunity to highlight how repubs have misled the public on climate change.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@plankter979 Hmmmmm. Interesting perspective. 🤔

This is political tripe.
You know better!
Pfuzylogic · M
@Zonuss
donnie killed over 1 million with covid 19. If any of the republicans truly care they wouldn’t have depleted the FEMA funds.
THAT determines speed of recovery.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Pfuzylogic Those FEMA funds are being used up due to the numerous amount of natural disasters we have seen over the past 10 years.
Pfuzylogic · M
@Zonuss
and the republicans would maintain the funding of FEMA instead of voting against the funding if they cared for anyone except the billionaires that fund their campaign.
Ontheroad · M
No, we all know the federal government is a bloated bureaucracy that is slow to respond to anything.

Always has been, and always will be.

People know this and those who were going to vote for Kamala will still vote for her... those who won't, still won't.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Ontheroad Fair point. ☺
Quetzalcoatlus · 46-50, M
Newsflash! It’s still hurricane season until November 1st. The big ones hit every year in early fall/late summer. Has nothing to do with elections.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Quetzalcoatlus If people are mad at FEMA and The National Guard it definitely does not help this administration. Especially after what we just saw with hurricane Helene 🌀
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Quetzalcoatlus And another thing. Hurricane season ends on November 30.
Quetzalcoatlus · 46-50, M
@Zonuss Damn you’re right lol, and they’re thinking ef extending it in future years because of CLIMATE CHANGE! Lol
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Much of the "uproar" over the slowness and inadequacy of the government response seems to come from those who at other times advocate for small government and citizen self-sufficiency. You reap what you sow . .
ArtieKat · M
That's too logical @SunshineGirl !!!
Matt85 · 36-40, M
people need to get on their knees and pray
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Matt85 I agree. 🙏
Fairydust · F
They create the problem to give their solution in their favour not the people.
Broache73 · 46-50, F
@Fairydust
Why aren't the State Governments providing the conditions for the Residents to start the Recovery process of their Livelyhoods?!

Where are the personal Savings of the Homeowners, Landowners, and the State Governments to be prepared for these Disasters that happen every so many years?!
exchrist · 31-35
Presidents don't really have much impact on federal agencies such as FEMA; Absent a directive from the executive branch, which in terms of federal employees is rare. Congress, not the president passes federal budgets and funding; the president can overrule that funding (budget) after it passes. That being said it will effect the future so that includes it having an effect on the next election. Plus any resultant casualties are fewer voters so. . .
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
What hurricane is this? I haven't heard anything about it.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Musicman They just gave it a name. Hurricane Milton.
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
@Zonuss I just saw that. Milton is a tropical storm right now, but is expected to come ashore Tuesday into Wednesday as a cat 2 hurricane. ☹☹☹☹
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Musicman No duh..Don't be naive. You know how the game goes. Expect it. It's coming.🤔
