Gossip is like a fudge brownie with chocolate chips. Most people KNOW they shouldn't indulge, but many still do.
Motivations can vary. I know someone who is simply malicious, and spreads tales of her enemy with malicious intent.
I also know someone who is just fascinated by all the goings on of other people, and likes to repeat them to me. I try very hard to ensure that my vine in the grapevine grows no further.
@Umile Respect to you, as well. Maliciousness is just the tiny bud of jealousy and evil that people allow to grow inside themselves...without the self examination necessary to realize that not ALL of their emotions and actions are healthy or GOOD.
I think they have a problem with me, justified or unjustified, and they’re desperate for reassurance from other people that it’s okay for them to hate me or that others feel the same.
It all depends on the circumstances but if one hasn't done/said anything to deserve harmful rumours - it's usually because those people are jealous and malicious AF. Either way, it's best to keep your head held high and get on with your life because those people will never change especially if they're influential.
@Umile Time heals and changing your environment. In the meantime if they're false, let's face it those who believe it will do no matter what. Remember some people believe the earth is flat after all.
@Umile🤔the only conclusion you can come too is they have a shallow existence and not enough to fill the time of the day with so do this in a spiteful and negative way just for sheer pleasure
@Monday40 Yup. Well. Been getting tired of it. Too many boundaries crossed. No respect. So, I figured, now I'll lay it down and address it, right then. And if it goes further, I'll take it there. I'm at a point in life where I don't need the Negativity. Maybe it's time for a new journey.
