So .... who is really running America???

A long overdue warning to all Americans. Your vote doesn't count, even when combined with the votes of your fellow citizens; doesn't count nearly as much as the $$$ of major party contributors.

To watch the parade of US senators and members of the House making house calls on Joe Biden, telling him to withdraw from the race. Why? Because major Democrat contributors have withheld their contributions or promise to cut funding if Joe stays in the race. And along with those members of congress are the big players in the information industry. Two months ago everyone was OK with Joe ... but with threats to shut off the $$$ spigot, Joe now has to go?

So who is running America? Just proxy politicians that big $$$ contributors give us to vote for? Are then the members of congress who are supposed to be representing the people are really representing the big $$$ contributors instead? To watch the insistence that Biden steps aside NOW is a pretty good measure on how much more weight big $$$ contributors carry than we the people.

So whose policy is/was it to open the border and allow millions in? Or student loan forgiveness? or the Green economy? Joe Biden's or Mark Zuckerberg's? Or was it George Soros's?

Considering our border and drug problems, one has to also wonder if illegal drug cartels are on those the list of major political contributors.

Who is really running America?

Completely wrong. Billionaires have way more political influence, which is why we should get money out of politics, but everyone's vote counts. A vote from a billionaire doesn't count for anything more than one vote, same goes for a vote from a worker.

@Heartlander The DNC and the RNC are both private orgs, so they can nominate whoever they want.
So ... all those primary elections were simply opinion polls? Subject to the approval of big $$$ contributors who can vote with their checkbooks and cancel out who the people voted for??

This isn't just about Biden being mentally unfit, but about who in the hell controls Washington DC. Someone running for a seat in congress gets threatened by his/her funder if Biden doesn't withdraw? That sounds more like an inverse bribe than a vote, AKA extortion.

Yes. The parties do primaries in order to find out who would have the best chance in the general election. If the people decide on Biden, but then something happens to Biden and now he no longer has a good chance of winning, then the party should nominate someone else.

Like I said, we should get money out of politics. However, that doesn't mean we don't currently have a democratic system. Our votes do count.
america is run by a large number of multinational corporations
they have NO political agenda,
just stacking up more and more cash.
@BohoBabe Now let's see a pie cart for "in kind" contributions. The value of 5 nights a week, late night (so called) comedy programs on NBC, CBS and ABC all pitching for Democrats; and the daytime programs like the View, etc. How much would Robert De Niro charge to make a commercial for a beer company, yet gives it free for Democrats?
@Heartlander yes,, that IS important
BohoBabe · M
@Heartlander First of all, we're talking about billionaire funding, not the fact that most Americans side with the Democrats over the Republicans, or that comedians tend to be left-leaning.

Secondly, there is more right-wing media than liberal media, and left-wing media barely exists outside of the internet. Again, the reason for that is because Republicans serve the billionaire class.

Donny Two Face wants some billionaires in his pocket so that he has an open budget to buy up every second of apace on every platform used by voters at voting time. He knows he ran out of funds for advertising campaigns in the last election and he doesn’t want to repeat that.
All votes have the same value regardless of how rich the voter is.

I wondered about the cartels too.

Hopefully the Green economy is running America. That then gives the rest of the world a fighting chance to avoid runaway climate change.

we have a puppet government. being run by Odumbo and Soros and Hillary.
4meAndyou · F
I have long speculated that Soros AND China, through the drug cartels, are orchestrating the downfall of this country. This is a war. I wanted to say it is a bloodless war...but far more Americans have died from fentanyl poisoning than died in WWII.

Big money.
Wolffy · 56-60, M
Well thank god it's not being run by Pelosi anymore and she took her 447 million and moved right next door to the Vatican and left all the a****** puppeteers behind let us deal with they're going to do the same get as much money as they can and run

@Wolffy Oh she is still in there somewhere.
Guarantee it.

@FreestyleArt

Everyone was on board with Biden .... until the $$$ was threatened. That fact was out in the open until yesterday.

No one seems to be talking about that today :)

Ohhh nooo, the news wasn't supposed to mention about the funding.

I am! ...and I'm not even American! 💶
@SW-User Again, you should study US history a bit deeper. Within the past 5 of 6 years I participated in community food policy meetings and meetings with migrant farm workers.

Migrating agriculture workers, though mobile, are an organized community, not working from desperation but working for the same reasons why we all work. If there is desperation, it’s about automation and mechanization reducing the need for workers.

If I can share my own current experience with hiring home landscaping, the going rate is $80 to $100 per hour, regardless of the color or race of the worker.

@Heartlander
Again, you should look out your window once in a while, Heartlander. If you've been meeting with migrant farm workers, you have not been meeting with WHITE farm workers who were born and raised in the USA. WHITE Americans do not work in the fields anymore, which is why you met with migrant farm workers!
@SW-User I think you are stuck on Democrat talking points. Migrant ag workers and illegal immigrants are not one and the same. Also the word “white” itself isn’t well defined and mostly used by racist. 90% of ag workers in SE Texas are Hispanics, but Hispanics also make up 90% of the general population. Also 60% of the population is “white”. Duhhhh … a lot of people there are both Hispanic and White; and some of them work as doctors and some of them work in agriculture.

Social orders change as you move north. Just north of Austin is different than the Valley. Further North into the heartlands are old Mexican communities that go back 100 plus years to the building of Americas railroads, and historically suffered years of discrimination at the hands of mostly Democrat governments, and they created alternative neighborhoods, much like separate but equal like with Black Americans.

It was never about jobs that white people wont do, but about jobs that white people couldn’t do without help, and for help went to the most affordable workers with great work ethics. So follow the formula: Mexican Americans were discriminated against by mostly Democrat government, which denied them education and work opportunities. Farmers needed extra help and hired the best workers at the lowest price which were the Mexicans.
