So .... who is really running America???

A long overdue warning to all Americans. Your vote doesn't count, even when combined with the votes of your fellow citizens; doesn't count nearly as much as the $$$ of major party contributors.

To watch the parade of US senators and members of the House making house calls on Joe Biden, telling him to withdraw from the race. Why? Because major Democrat contributors have withheld their contributions or promise to cut funding if Joe stays in the race. And along with those members of congress are the big players in the information industry. Two months ago everyone was OK with Joe ... but with threats to shut off the $$$ spigot, Joe now has to go?

So who is running America? Just proxy politicians that big $$$ contributors give us to vote for? Are then the members of congress who are supposed to be representing the people are really representing the big $$$ contributors instead? To watch the insistence that Biden steps aside NOW is a pretty good measure on how much more weight big $$$ contributors carry than we the people.

So whose policy is/was it to open the border and allow millions in? Or student loan forgiveness? or the Green economy? Joe Biden's or Mark Zuckerberg's? Or was it George Soros's?

Considering our border and drug problems, one has to also wonder if illegal drug cartels are on those the list of major political contributors.

Who is really running America?

Completely wrong. Billionaires have way more political influence, which is why we should get money out of politics, but everyone's vote counts. A vote from a billionaire doesn't count for anything more than one vote, same goes for a vote from a worker.
@BohoBabe But you only get to vote for the candidates the $$$ picks. They want Joe out of the way now because it's "NO $$$" if Joe stays, and that means "NO $$$" for every Democrat candidate running for Comgress, or state legislature, etc. The party big shots didn't demand that Joe had to go until the threat of shutting off both Joe's $$ as well as the party's $$$.

@Heartlander The DNC and the RNC are both private orgs, so they can nominate whoever they want.
So ... all those primary elections were simply opinion polls? Subject to the approval of big $$$ contributors who can vote with their checkbooks and cancel out who the people voted for??

This isn't just about Biden being mentally unfit, but about who in the hell controls Washington DC. Someone running for a seat in congress gets threatened by his/her funder if Biden doesn't withdraw? That sounds more like an inverse bribe than a vote, AKA extortion.

Yes. The parties do primaries in order to find out who would have the best chance in the general election. If the people decide on Biden, but then something happens to Biden and now he no longer has a good chance of winning, then the party should nominate someone else.

Like I said, we should get money out of politics. However, that doesn't mean we don't currently have a democratic system. Our votes do count.
