Or the absurdity of using a naturalist argument to justify an artificial construct like the economy.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow absolutely. They cant grasp that its a social construct and that mutual co operation is also part of human nature

Maybe we should take into account the donation group. To equalize lower income people with higher income people will of necessity, require confiscating resources earned by the latter.
While the “rich” are continually excoriated for their innate wickedness, there is some small reason to wonder how willingly they will participate in the plan rather than go about their wicked ways and keep what they earn. Of course, too, are those who will simply go home and become part of the recipient group. In human history I have not heard of income equalization as having worked, except in the imagination of their hearts. Reports of such success have invariably been exaggerated.

@MarthannBann888 Opening the envelops for dividend cheques is such hard work.
Lets be real. There is no ethical way to become a billionaire.
I see there is no questioning how gambling on the stock market somehow means you earned billions, but people who work 80 hours a work apparently deserve poverty wages.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I imagine you would prefer a return to the barter system.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@CorvusBlackthorne I see now you are supporting right wing economics now just to be contrary.
Proof yet again you will sell out any of your positions just to pick an argument with me.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I see you are once again engaging in battle with a straw man rather than address what I actually said.
How many goats do you think it should cost to purchase a gallon of gasoline?

@CorvusBlackthorne Nope. Just stating a fact. You are suddenly an AnCap here just to pick a fight.
And you are being a troll so I don't waste my time with arguments that are not serious.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I rather think you would not know a fact were it to dive out of the sky and pick you up in its talons. However, as you prefer to play with your straw man rather than addressing what has actually been said, I shall leave you to your little game.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow What do you expect, when you provide nothing but straw man arguments rather than asking what my position is on the subject? You do not debate honestly, and you never have. To be completely honest, I find it embarrassing on the rare occasions when you do choose to make the same argument as I do, because your method of debate is to lie about your opponent until they become angry and then say something like "You have nothing but insults."
One assumes you picked up this technique from Donald Trump.

@CorvusBlackthorne Again, I don't take troll seriously. And you prove again you don't know what a strawman is.
And I am a leftist. Donald Trump is far right. Apparently I need to teach you high school level politics too.
But hey, he might appeal to someone as reactionary as you. I mean you both seem to take contradictory positions based on who you are talking to.

A recent example is when you falsely called me an ancap because I questioned your motive in calling for the end of any economic system whatsoever.
Again, I don't take troll seriously.
Well, I am sorry to hear that you do not take yourself seriously. And you prove again you don't know what a strawman is.
It seems rather self-explanatory to me. This is what you are doing, no?And I am a leftist. Donald Trump is far right.
Yet you share the same debating style. Lie about your opponent, then when they try to correct you, you call them a liar again. After enough of this, your opponent becomes enraged because you are not listening, and you pretend to take the moral high ground as the person who did not become angry. It is a disgustingly dishonest tactic. A recent example is when you falsely called me an ancap because I questioned your motive in calling for the end of any economic system whatsoever.

@CorvusBlackthorne I said you are making Ancap Reddit troll arguments. Not my fault if that hit a nerve. lol

Let’s DO be real! That kind of all encompassing statements seldom are accompanied by actual evidence, and I see you are no different. I hope you are a devout Christian as your statement suggests long hours devoted to understanding faith. Personally, gambling on the stock market is a sure way to poverty. Clearly you have no experience with our stock market friends. Working an eighty hour week is common for people building a business.
Deserve doesn’t have any place in your analysis. Maybe you should read more about faith and philosophy. God tells us to have faith in living our lives and trust in His Word and in His will. Often what we think is bad turns out to be good. For the true Christian it is all good. Good luck.

@MarthannBann888 Sorry but no. I have no interest in prosperity gospel nonsense.
And trying to appeal to me using Christian talking points is going to fail.
I am a polytheist.

I did not indicate that you hit a nerve. I simply stated that you have nothing but insults to present as evidence after intentionally misrepresenting my position.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I feel no need to argue honestly with persons who engage in dishonest tactics. Good day.

“And trying to appeal to me using Christian talking points is going to fail.”
My point exactly. Don’t do brain surgery and don’t talk about religion or any of its related attributes. You clearly have beliefs that are simply not true. False knowledge = false beliefs.

@MarthannBann888 ive never once said members of working class should have as much wealth as those who pocess high capital. What im saying is that labourers should be paid a fair wage and be in under stable employment. When big businesses are making billions in profits they can more than afford to pay workers a good living wage.
Reason10 · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The only way an economy becomes anything but natural is during socialism. Economics is the most accurate science of human behavior.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@Reason10 and yet not one economist thinks the same. Wether its adam smith or keynes

I do see your point. I think what lies at the heart of many of our problems is ethics on both sides. There are wonderful companies and those are in the majority. There are wonderful wage earners, too. But, there are lots of scammers on that side of the argument. Just like businesses, people take great advantage, and sometimes unethical advantage. I think it would be great if dems and republicans could stop every bit of demonetization of each other on this issue. Stop the ripoff, too.
