Definitely a possibility. I try to remain optimistic that it is become more unlikely, but the fear that it could happen remains. It doesn't help that Trump can have a hundred bad days and it affects his polling less than if Biden has one bad day. There's hope, but it's still scary.

Absolutely. A lot of people who voted for Biden last time aren't going to vote for either candidate this time because of Biden's funding of Israel. Also, since the last election, Republicans have made a lot of new voter-restriction laws under the guise of "securing" our elections. There are also more election-denier Republicans in office. Remember how Brad Raffensperger and Ryan Germany refused to "find" votes for Trump? Well, this time there will be more trumpian Republicans in office who will be more likely to "find" votes, or just throw out votes for Biden.

Now it's not all doom and gloom. The economy is booming, which is good for Biden, and Trump lost a lot of support after 1/6 and the whole attempt at stealing an election. Basically, either guy can win, so we all need to vote for Biden.

@missyann
Saying Trump supporters are a cult is the pot calling the kettle black. You can’t tell me that there aren’t Democrats in the I hate Trump cult.
The reason I say Trump supporters are a cult is because they have blind loyalty to Trump based entirely on his personality. There are few, if any, Democrats who hate Trump without reason. Trump is hated for his crimes, his failure as president, and his threat to democratic values.

Yes, I do.

He's still the same guy who got all those votes in 2016 and 2020, and I'm not writing it off.

We all should vote, anyway, but the stakes, imo, are much higher than usual with candidates with dramatically different visions, priorities and values, notwithstanding opinions on competence.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
Well, I gave him no chance in 2016, but I didn't realize how much people hated Hillary. Trump got plenty of "I don't know much about Trump, but I have seen him on TV, and I know I hate Hillary" votes. Yet Hillary still won the national popular vote - by a long shot.

I'm surprised, and scared, that Trump still has as many supporters as he does. And from what I see the complaints against biden come from two places:

1) Bleeding butthurt Trump supporters - Biden is simply evil because he beat trump.
2) Liberals upset over Israel support.

Category 1 will vote Trump no matter what.
Category 2 may abstain or protest vote, but unlikely will they swtich to trump.

So the way I see it, the main factor in who wins has to do with how many 2020 Biden voters decide to stay home or protest vote. Trump is not expanding his base.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@trollslayer it feels so strange to me. The Israel issue is big, I get that. But Biden has done far better than I had imagined throughout his entire presidency. I felt I was holding my nose to vote for him in 2020. But this time around I actually want to vote for him because he's done so well on everything but Israel.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@ViciDraco I'm the same way. He has done better than I expected. And even on Israel - even though the Biden administration has backed Israel in the UN, he has still called out the Netanyahu government and the way they are waging war as well as the actions of Jewish settlers in the West Bank. That may not be good enough for some folks, but is WAY more than any other administration has done. I think his israel policy is appropriate considering both current circumstances and the USA's historic foreign policy.

I give him zero chance of avoiding all four convictions. I cannot see a convict getting enough votes, and Biden is already closing the gap among registered voters. Trump has a fairly good chance of avoiding prison. The likely outcome is loss of his empire, a permanent gag order and house arrest.
@SW-User Thankfully, Trump never won the popular vote. It's really just like 30% of the country that got brainwashed into the cult.
JSul3 · 70-79
@SW-User SCOTUS is one decision away from becoming a Kingmaker court.
Khenpal1 · M
@SW-User I would rather worry whom they elect as vice-presidents. As both of them may be out.

I finally had to block that "Sporter," too much antisemitism for me.

And yes, I believe Trump will win, but in America, everything is by design. We are being set up for failure.

Two Examples:

1: DeSantis is loud and proud saying "Where woke goes to die," and then during the debates, he's as quiet as a church mouse and looking very weak.

2: Then, is it no surprise that Trump won the Republican nomination against a woman? I guess they all thought we had forgotten that many of his votes back in 2016 were not votes for Trump, but votes against Hillary.

@BohemianBoo

I see your point, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I think Theyl try bump him off or call martial law and suspend elections.. because they know they can’t even cheat him out of it this time 🍿
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Why not? They cheated last time and I've seen nothing done to rectify the issue
@Rolexeo if the main stream media reported fairly. Americans would know that all the laws they changed in the swing states without the legislators.. have been reversed and hardened..
the amount of votes that had no signature varification or chain of custody.. will not be getting counted this time.. no matter how big a planDemic they throw for mail ins..
also republicans plan on having lawyer observers this time.. so there will be no bullshit busted water pipes or sending republican voters home so they can count votes unsupervised thru the night..

😏

Vin53 · M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout So 100's of 1,000's of Americans were complicit in the rigging of 3 straight Nat'l elections in a row without the entire GOP figuring out how we did it or how to stop it and we're the nut cases?
AbbySvenz · F
Sure he can, he just needs to keep reminding the public that he was the one who got rid of Roe v. Wade, and this week? (Or was it last week?) he’s all for a national ban on women’s health care decisions
Definitely possible. There's a big enthusiasm gap between 'lesser of two evils Biden' and 'perennial victim cult leader Trump.' Don't get complacent; take nothing for granted.
calicuz · 51-55, M
@ElwoodBlues

I swore to remove the "lesser of two evils" from my train of thought, and now my own government has slammed it right back into my face. 😡
JSul3 · 70-79
With the archaic Electoral College, anything is possible.
missyann · 56-60
@JSul3 the electoral college is the only fair way to represent the states with lower population. As long as there are states that have lower population, the electoral college will never disappear.. These states deserve to be recognized. I.
JSul3 · 70-79
@missyann They are recognized....by the House and 2 Senators.

The POTUS should be elected via the popular vote. People live in the states of their choosing.
missyann · 56-60
@JSul3 They deserve to have a red state or if they choose a Republican
Anniedlr · 26-30, F
Yes it is possible but it will be a tragedy for the USA and the World if he is
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
I blocked they guy years ago.
RageAgainstTheMachine · 36-40, M
@JimboSaturn I made a commitment not to block individuals; no reason to stoop to their level. Thus, why I specified a single user in particular.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@RageAgainstTheMachine He just kept getting more extreme and hateful. I agree though I very rarely block people.
RageAgainstTheMachine · 36-40, M
@JimboSaturn I edited the name to avoid violating Terms of Service.

Maybe DOJ and/or Repubs have dirt on Dems and this whole narrative is designed to inject hope or something at the people.
Of course it's a possibility. Although it is unlikely.
missyann · 56-60
@Aidankenny23 I think there’s more of a chance, then people want to believe. We Will have to see what kind of dirt Republicans bring forward right before the election.
@missyann Well, they've found absolutely nothing these last 4 years, despite claiming they're going to impeach Biden ANY DAY NOW 😂
missyann · 56-60
@Aidankenny23 Nope they’re going to wait until closer to the election when it can make the biggest impact.

They really think that putting Trump on trial at this time is going to make an impact. He has more support than ever.

@jshm2 Agreed. In Trump world any election that he doesn’t win is a corrupted one and any election that he does win had the best most amazing people voting for the best candidate.

@justanothername “Vote for me in this rigged election, which is totally fair, unless I don’t win.”,
