Are the Democrats following in the Republican trend of using misinformation by claiming Trump's words "blood-bath" clearly out of context?

I was very disappointed to see that. His statements are frightening enough as they are without embellishing them like that.

@Zaphod42 And threatning Supreme Court Justices, by name, on the steps of the Supreme Court, is to be glossed over, eh?

@Zaphod42 how were they embellished?

@samueltyler2 the headline I saw had his direct quote for the bloodbath statement, followed by saying he promised the downfall of democracy. His quote was correctly stated, and it was undoubtedly a dog whistle call to the more violent among his followers, but I’ve listed to the 3 minute video of that portion of his speech and he didn’t threaten the downfall of democracy…at least not in direct and obvious language.

@sunsporter1649 Give a link to any article that supports that claim?

@Zaphod42 "Threatening the government officials of the United States is a felony under federal law. Threatening the president of the United States is a felony under 18 U.S.C. § 871, punishable by up to 5 years of imprisonment, that is investigated by the United States Secret Service. Threatening other officials is a Class D or C felony, usually carrying maximum penalties of 5 or 10 years under 18 U.S.C. § 875, 18 U.S.C. § 876 and other statutes, that is investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation."

Is upchuck in jail yet?

@sunsporter1649 Aww, cute. I asked for a link to an article and you quoted the law. It’s adorable when you don’t even bother backing up your own claims.

@Zaphod42 “I want to tell you, Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch, you have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” Schumer said as the judges hear opening arguments on the case Wednesday. “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
@Zaphod42 Do you want a tissue?

@Zaphod42 "A throng of protesters pushed past a police line, storming up steps to pound on the doors of the U.S. Supreme Court on Saturday after the Senate confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh.

"Hey, hey! Ho, ho! Kavanaugh has got to go," the protesters chanted as they flooded the steps of the court, many with fists raised in the air, others with arms linked.

Police eventually were able to form a line between the door and the group of protesters and later shepherded them back down the steps before erecting a barricade."
