@samueltyler2 the headline I saw had his direct quote for the bloodbath statement, followed by saying he promised the downfall of democracy. His quote was correctly stated, and it was undoubtedly a dog whistle call to the more violent among his followers, but I’ve listed to the 3 minute video of that portion of his speech and he didn’t threaten the downfall of democracy…at least not in direct and obvious language.

Threatening other officials is a Class D or C felony, usually carrying maximum penalties of 5 or 10 years under 18 U.S.C. § 875, 18 U.S.C. § 876 and other statutes, that is investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation."
