He lied in a contract... Try it yourself and see what happens
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Convivial Yup, taking out a loan, repaying it on time, with interest, is now a crime, eh?
Convivial · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 no it's not, but lying on the application is
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Convivial Just what were the "lies"?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@sunsporter1649 beat me to it
Convivial · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 please, don't expect me to do your research for you... I'll just mention one thing... The collateral of using his apartment and tripling it's size
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Convivial Last week it was Mar-A-Largo, this week it's an apartment, what will it be next week?
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@Convivial The judge lied. The judge claims Mar Largo is only worth $18 million. Given it is fifteen acres with access to the ocean and intercoastal waterways, given the going rate for land there, it is closer to 1.3 billion dollars. You couldn't even buy the parking lot for 18 million.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@Convivial No lies, no victms just leftist prosecutor and crooked judge. Only leftist fools can't see the truth.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@Strictgram Correct. The logic of the court is deeply flawed. Someone was denied a loan because Trump got one means that everyone that ever bought food at the grocery store has caused mass starvation because someone else didn't buy the food.

@IronHamster Mar-a-Lago is zoned as a resort, not a residence, so it's value is lower. Trump valued it based on what it would bring if it were sold to a developer who turned it into a residential neighborhood. The problem is, that's impossible right now. So it's not worth $1.3 billion dollars unless the zoning is changed. Oh, but if they did that, the property taxes would be higher.
It would be like me valuing a baseball card at 50 times its actual worth based on the possibility that it will be more valuable in the future.

@Lila15 Nonsense.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@IronHamster It's what your orange lord and savior did. But if you're correct, he should have no trouble getting this verdict overturned on appeal.
"Your honor, the property is simultaneously worth more when I apply for a loan, and worth less when I pay taxes"
Good luck with that.
