I watched the interview tonight. I have no love for Putin but i understood his stance on why he went into Ukraine. Putin is not really the bad guy here (not really a good guy either) but he is protecting his country. Every promise made to him has been broken.
I would hope Trump could end this conflict. No more arms to Ukraine. Seems peace could easily be achieved. Biden wont do it because of his money laundrring there. Plus US has bases on Russias boarder. I see the politics, Putin is right, this is stupid what the USA is doing.

Sleepy Joes Special Envoy to the Ukraine was asked by Senator Rand Paul:
"Is there BioTech/Weapons labs in the Ukraine"
...her reply should have been:
Whereever America finds BioTech labs anywhere in the World we will attempt to destroy them"
...her actual reply was:
"We are working closely with the Ukrainian Govt. to keep BioTech research out of the hands of Russia"
... puts the War in Ukraine in a whole new light doesn't it

Carlson got the interview something others have not been able to do and At the tail end of the interview, Carlson pressed Putin to release Evan Gershkovich, a Wall Street Journal reporter imprisoned by Russian authorities nearly a year ago on charges of espionage - charges the newspaper stoutly rejects. He suggested Putin should not hold Gershkovich as a pawn to trade for, say, the release of a Russian spy.
"The guy's obviously not a spy, he's a kid," Carlson said of Gershkovich. "And maybe he was breaking your law in some way, but he's not a super spy and everybody knows that. And he's being held hostage in exchange, which is true. With respect, it's true. And everyone knows it's true."
Carlson would raise the ratings of any network he went to.

@Johnson212 Not been able to? Are you serious with that? Putin has turned down any interviews with Western journalists for almost three years. For a reason. He granted this one to someone who has been defending him and propping him up in the U.S.. After Fox, Carlson was offered jobs by Russia state controlled media. He's an asset. Do you get it now?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout It's interesting that, before Russia attacked Ukraine, no other US administration imposed as many sanctions on Russia as the Trump administration.
And it was Trump who warned the Europeans about becoming too dependent on Russian energy, much to the chagrin of many European governments. They should admit that Trump was right and they were wrong, but they don't.
