Biden Accuser Tara Reade Sues DOJ, Seeks Millions in Damages Following Alleged ‘FBI Operation’ Against Her

"Tara Reade, the woman who came forward in 2020 with a sexual assault allegation against then-candidate Joe Biden, is suing the Department of Justice over alleged misconduct.

A lawyer for Reade filed a tort claim on Wednesday seeking $10 million “for infliction of emotional distress and anxiety” following what was described as an “FBI operation” that was conducted after she came forward with her accusation against Biden. The tort claim alleges Reade’s Fourth Amendment right was violated as well as violations of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and state privacy laws.

Included in the tort claim was a July 2020 grand jury subpoena issued to Twitter from the US District Court for the Eastern District of California demanding all records pertaining to Reade’s Twitter accounts.

The tort claim outlines several allegations against the FBI, insisting it was behind suspicious occurrences like disruptions in her bank accounts and a manuscript of her book that had gone missing from a FedEx shipment in November 2020 that further detailed her claims against Biden.

“The United States should not have a two-tiered justice system,” Reade’s attorney Jonathan Levy said in a statement.

“If President Trump and Mr. Giuliani can be assessed tens of millions in damages for their words; a weaponized FBI that seeks to silence, intimidate and eliminate Joe Biden’s victim, Tara Reade, must also be held accountable; failing to do so means our justice and legal system has become an instrument of political oppression and suppression.”

Tara Reade? You mean the lady who repeated lied under oath while being paid as an "expert witness"?

As Tara Reade’s expert witness credentials are questioned, so are verdicts

... Reade told The New York Times that she had obtained her degree through a “protected program” for victims of spousal abuse, which, court records show, she suffered at the hands of her ex-husband in the mid-1990s. That history, she said, caused her to change her name, leading to confusion about her status at the school. She later received a law degree from Seattle University.

But an Antioch spokeswoman, Karen Hamilton, told The New York Times that while Reade had attended classes, she was certain Reade had not received a degree.

In her testimony in the 2018 trial, Reade was questioned about her degree by Soltesz. She testified that she received a liberal arts degree, as was stated on her résumé provided by the district attorney’s office. “The focus was political science,” she said, according to a trial transcript.

... “[Reade] attended but did not graduate from Antioch University. She was never a faculty member. She did provide several hours of administrative work,” Karen Hamilton, an Antioch spokesperson, told CNN in May.

CNN also reported that Reade claimed “she received a bachelor of arts degree from Antioch University in Seattle under the auspices of a ‘protected program,’ personally working with the former president of the school to ensure her identity was protected while she obtained credits for her degree.” The outlet added: “An Antioch University official told CNN that such a ‘protected program’ does not exist and never has.”

... In September 2000, under the name Alexandra McCabe, Reade enrolled in Antioch University Seattle’s bachelor’s degree completion program. Reade had, to that point, attended at least four colleges: Cuesta College, Long Beach City College, Pasadena City College, and UC Santa Barbara.

@ElwoodBlues Like determining that Mar-A-Largo is worth $18,000,000?

It does sound as though her credibility could be in question. I wouldn't want to be cross examined were I her.
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch They are merely repeating what she told them. That would be described in a court of law as hearsay evidence.

@novaguy2u Yes, we know, only demonocrat women like blasey ford are to be believed....

@sunsporter1649 If you scroll back, you will find that at no point have I questioned her claims. I merely stated that with her background of lying, her credibility has to be in question. If she gets on the stand, and she must, defense counsel will take her background apart in great detail, exposing any lies and highlighting them in an effort to destroy her credibility. I'm afraid that it is standard practice, Defense 101.
