GOP impeachment inquiry

Sounds like this inquiry revolves around them still being butthurt because Trump was twice impeached, and that Biden won the election. They are so butthurt that this is their top priority, even above funding the government.

To highlight the differences: The Trump impeachments began with events that occurred, the first being a phone call with Ukraine that a whistleblower filed a report on, the second being the Jan 6th events. The Biden inquiry is more along the lines of "Hunter Biden is a shady drug user who somehow held high positions - Joe Biden must be a crook, let's look for evidence." The first are examples of witnessing an event and deciding whether it is worthy of impeachment. The second is an example of having a feeling "something isn't right" and then continuing to pry hoping to find something. The first is NOT a "witch hunt", the second is a "Witch hunt". Even the GOP's witnesses say there is only circumstantial evidence at best.

Article 2 Clause 5: Caring for the faithful execution of the law

The president must "take care that the laws be faithfully executed." This clause in the Constitution imposes a duty on the president to enforce the laws of the United States and is called the Take Care Clause, also known as the Faithful Execution Clause or Faithfully Executed Clause. This clause is meant to ensure that a law is faithfully executed by the president even if he disagrees with the purpose of that law.

Republicans have had TWO special prosecutors with subpoena power looking into Biden for FIVE YEARS!!

In 2018, Trump appointed David Weiss to DoJ, and Weiss & his team have spent the past five years investigating everything associated with Hunter Biden.

And what did this Trump appointee discover after five years? Two tax evasion misdemeanors plus an illegal gun purchase. Yes, Weiss had the laptop.

In 2019 Trump appointed John Durham to investigate the origins of the Trump Russia investigation and whether it was a cover for Biden crimes in Ukraine. After 4 years, Durham had two failed prosecutions and one guy doing a small amount of community service.

The republican House Oversight Committee has had the Biden laptop drive for two years and several alleged whistleblowers. And what crimes have they charged? NONE. And what did they publish? dickpics. SAD!!

But you, @sunsporter1649, think you know more than all these teams of investigators who have been working for years. RIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT

Not that it was surprising in any way but that show was beyond an embarrassment. They had nothing, they will have nothing, and they know it. It has nothing to do with truth or the law or anything along those lines. And it was so BLATANTLY obvious that I can't imagine how little they think of their supporters. Or the country.

@Ynotisay Being a Republican is becoming an embarrasment itself these days.

Don't care, it's all a distraction and fake
The problem with slinging mud is that you need some mud. There's no evidence of wrong doing and no evidence to support an impeachment. It will pass, and the GOP will suffer for it.

@GohantheThird Oh they say they鈥檝e got evidence and that there鈥檚 actually no evidence against Trump. So in the court of public opinion they鈥檒l probably do just as well as Democrats did impeaching Trump.
