On the surface it makes sense that lower unemployment is better for the economy. But that's not entirely true. One of the downsides to "maximum employment' is that it makes it harder to hire and retain, which typically means higher wages, with that cost being passed on to consumers. And every time the Fed's tick up interests rates to respond to inflation that ripples through the economy too. It's a balancing act for sure. The REAL issue as I see it is corporate wealth disparity. They will move nothing from their coffers. The strategy is to always raise prices so the C-suite doesn't take a hit. And that's outside of the uber wealthy accumulating wealth. Elon Musk makes roughly $45 million a DAY.
If that kind of wealth isn't capped then this game of workers fighting for crumbs will continue.

Yes indeed! Lower existing wages so people have to work numerous jobs. Let 12 year olds work and work until 11pm.
There are ways, you know, to maintain multi million dollar salaries and stock dividends.
You just have to be ruthless and filled with greed.

I dont understand your comment about raising unemployment. Just wanted to say i think its sad.thinking about rich people, that they will like hire a maid or get their nails done and feel like theyre doing their part in creating jobs or supporting people and the economy lol. I hope i never turn into a spoiled rich person. And just to add im sure their are rich people who arent selfish andspoiled too but where i live a lot seem like that

I agree, stop all subsidies for corporations and individuals. The government has no valid role taking money from some and giving it to others.

Like Marx said, the rich want unemployment because it means they have all the power.

The US is woefully short of skilled labor.
