@JimboSaturn i hope that you are aware that they are [b]not[/b] in favor of free trade in the sense of it being free in both directions. they are globalists and crony capitalists. they are in favor of a global race to the bottom for the middle class, enslavement of the middle class, and the commoditization of human beings, their labor. ( Koch family ) --- ONLY DONALD TRUMP is in favor of free trade in both directions and that is the purpose of tariffs. @JimboSaturn tariffs are a punishment to countries that do not allow access to their markets, while demanding access to USA markets. it is incentive for US manufacturers to compete with foreign ones. [b]it worked. [/b] China was only willing to negotiate after suffering the consequences of tariffs. if you have a better idea i would love to hear it. So would Anthony Blinken, who is stating nearly verbatim everything that Trump has said regarding this subject.
