Is the way "the base" has taken to calling themselves and greeting each other with the title, "Patriot" cute or sinister?

Or, is it just them being manipulated yet again?

It's a fall back position.
You can always tell when the Republicans are broke because they'll revert to terms like Patriot. Liberal. Fake news etc. rather than promoting new ideas and specific plans they want to turn into policy if they should win the election.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@Picklebobble2 Republicans haven't had any new ideas for at least a century.

@Crazywaterspring True enough.
But the whole western world is going through a period of covid/post covid recovery with few nations coming out of it successfully.
That's how you get two one term Presidents of the quality of Trump and Biden.
Sabre rattlers to try and rally people but produce nothing other than show the shortcomings of a nation where people are shocked they didn't do better

The liberals are jealous they'll never earn that title!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@fanuc2013 Only morons think they earned the title. It's easy to claim a title when you change the meaning of the word.

@fanuc2013 And yet, here’s the title that Conservatives embraced at the C-PAC Conference:

@MrBrownstone Money is not the metric by which gender roles can be measured.

Ignorant, mostly.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Definitely sinister. They've twisted it to mean something completely different.
