Lots of firsts for Trump.

First person to be impeached twice. First person to lost the popular vote twice. First person to try to overthrow an election. And now first former president to be indicted. I don't know about that last one though I mean losing the majority vote and still becoming president sounds illegitimate.

Trump is NOT the first person to lose the popular votefor president twice.

Thomas Dewey did. So did Adlai Stevenson.

And that's just since 1944.

@beckyromero ...he'll have been aware of that, but failed to provide the details as it doesn't suit his narrative

@beckyromero The actual factoid is for an elected president losing pop vote twice...

@Neoerectus

That's not what the OP said:

"First person to lost the popular vote twice."

First person with zero experience in government to attain presidency (some of us saw this problem from a mile away ).

Kind of makes you wonder. How can a president put thousands of Japanese American citizens in concentration camps, and NOT get impeached? Or nuke two cities full of civilians?
@SusanInFlorida I know. Me, too. But part of his reasoning (not that I agree with it) was he needed to prove that the emperor didn't care about his people. He wanted a huge tragedy that he could then blame on Hirohito's stubbornness.

Did it work? Absolutely. The Japanese people demanded an end to the war after that point. But I think you're right. It could have been done without the loss of life.

@LordShadowfire Small point of order... At the time of the Hiroshima bombing, the US had a total of 2 atomic bombs in inventory. And used them both. Since the political position was to save "American" lives by not invading the home Islands, Truman really had no choice. And a warning shot was not an option,.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman I mean, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, and neither of us were there, but I disagree.

{@trumpisfinallygone] nothing really here ever to give credit or be proud of more a case of a shameful person with no scruples😞
Number 1, number 1, number 1, Trump is the best President ever.
Nah. The only cheating in the 2016 election was the standard electoral college bullshit.

@LordShadowfire well, let's see... the electoral college has been around for quite some time. you know like since the beginning of the republic, so it's a valid question. i guess that's what scares you so much.
