So what happens when the next generation of African Americans want their reparations? And the generation after that?
LeeInTheNorthWoods · 70-79, F
@redredred Great questions.
@redredred Not surprising an entitled right winger thinks everything is about writing a check.
redredred · M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I believe the topic is reparations. I thought that implied a check. Instead of a check do you favor 40 acres and a mule?
@redredred We are talking about reparations. The fact you assume everything is fixed with a checkbook just speaks to your lack of imagination.
redredred · M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow so you do favor forty acres and a mule? Or maybe a quarter ton of copper? Two years supply of Hagen Dasz ? Free pizza for life at dominos?

But not a check, got it.
@redredred Really, dude? You think if reparations are made, they're just going to keep begging for more handouts? On what do you base that?
redredred · M
@LordShadowfire At least we agree it’s begging. You know, asking for something you have no right to.

Seriously, do you honestly think this is the last time the blackmailers will make demands? Two or three generations from now when this payment has made ZERO difference do you really think there won’t be demands for more?

If you do, I’ve got a sweet arch in St Louis to sell you.

@redredred the entitlements that end inequality are supposed to be universal. You use war and border checkpoints to make sure human rights don't matter. You won.
@redredred Translation "let them eat cake."
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow y'all just don't want to end inequality. Entitlements could and government can be democracy. Hi you war against it,! So cute.
@Roundandroundwego I am all for ending inequality or at least making the best effort at it. It is Red the trust fund baby throwing a fit.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow One wonders if he might be less upset were the recipients of reparation possessed of less melanin and straighter hair...
@CorvusBlackthorne Given his post history that probably has alot to do with it. Much like the much deluded Elon he believes his own propaganda about being self made and magically existing outside society.

@CorvusBlackthorne Upset? Point to my upset. I’m not even upset that you can’t or won’t answer my perfectly reasonable question, but that’s typical for the reason-impaired left.
redredred · M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow if being orphaned in my teens and then paying my way through college and then grad school twice is self-made, I confess. Who paid your way?
@redredred And now you begin with the ableist insults. How utterly typical.
@redredred I mean I suppose that is possible that you started out that way but nobody is self made.

And frankly your attitude is that of someone who has had everything handed to them and has had a privileged life where you have the luxury of believing your own bullshit propaganda about the American Dream, capitalism and all that bullshit. You speak like someone who started out from wealth and works backwards to create a myth to justify winning the baby lottery.
LeeInTheNorthWoods · 70-79, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow All white people are born to wealth and luxury and never earn anything except on the backs of people of color. Yeah. You are informed and broadminded and never, ever judge others by false and arbitrary bigotry.
@LeeInTheNorthWoods Whilst @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow is quite often guilty of hasty judgment, in my observations, even humans who are born poor and white have an advantage over humans who are born poor and black.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The day my father was born, his father was a sharecropper. That’s right, a white sharecropper in South Dakota. My mother’s father was a barber so he was upscale. I worked for every fucking penny I ever got and little people like you who never did better than minimum wage want a share of what you never earned.

You bring nothing to the table because you don’t gave a clue how to produce wealth. You’ll die that way.
@redredred Ignoring me will not make me go away.
redredred · M
@CorvusBlackthorne I’ll bet I know how you discovered that.
@redredred I'm just wondering why it is you're scared of people with more melanin in their skin than you.
