SCOTUS Orders Trump Tax Records Released

I remember when he said he'd release them, and even went after other people like Ted Cruz for not showing his, but then trump himself made all the excuses to remain the only president who didn't disclose anything

[@samueltyler2 ] The House Ways And Means Committee (https://waysandmeans.house.gov/subcommittees/ways-and-means-117th-congress), asked for Trump's tax records, as part of an investigation they were conducting. Trump said no. The committee got a court ordered compelling the IRS to hand the records over, Trump appealed to SCOTUS, and Chief Justice Roberts put a hold on that order, until SCOTUS could deliberate it. The did, and delivered their ruling today: the IRS will turn the records over to the House Ways and Means Committee, which has several Republicans on it.

Fox News said SCOTUS orders records released to Democrats on the committee. Which is a lie, but that's what their readers will now believe.=

Ignorant about the process so forgive me if I say something heretic, but couldn't the new Republican majority in the house stop this, if they're the recipient? Or actually disband the committee?

I see a lot of time off between now and then due to holidays, so as soon as they receive them, they should immediately publish them, it may be the last thing they get to do, and then the GQP majority House cannot deny what is contained in them thereafter
