Should the Police and the FBI be abolished

What do you think some want to abolish the FBI but not the police other want to abolish the police but not the FBI so its only fair to abolish both.

Need to take the politics out of the FBI and IRS. Obama weaponized them to help him win re-election.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
How about abolishing neither? You can still shift some police funding to community support, mental health, etc. and improve the area without abolishing the police.
scrood · 31-35
Yes FBI needs to be defunded and ABOLISHED broken up to other agencies and administrative state DOWNSIZED BIGLY or else we are in a police state oppression of one party globalist dominion voting machines. Police need to FOLLOW THE LAW and ARREST CRIMINALS!!! Most of the time they let criminals go with a slap on the wrist or no bail and no charges and there is no deterrence and crime is out of control everywhere

@scrood So you would agree that we should start by arresting Trump, right? That way we can show people that no one is above the law.

@windinhishair Every liberal's wet dream -- Orange man, orange suit

@scrood One which you just advocated.

No but what they go after should be realigned. Think about it the police and the federal government will go after someone for consuming a plant that grows in nature. There is that and many other things that should be none of their business.

@Subsumedpat I happen to agree. Legalization of drugs does not create more addicts. People who don't use them won't just because they're legal and the ones who do use them have been finding them already. Better to be safe, protective and, honestly, if you're so damned concerned about peoples' health and drugs (government), then go ahead and do it right with adequate healthcare coverage for all.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@Graylight Of big concern is the money. The money in illegal drugs brings the violence not the drugs.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Subsumedpat Absolutely true. And victimizations, and ancillary crime, and gangs, and...

The consumer will no doubt never see any huge savings, but the legalization and regulation of drugs has been shown to be effective and safe.
Graylight · 51-55, F
No. Because then anyone's sense of justice is justice, including the men who shot up two nightclubs over the weekend.

These agencies should be recalibrated, as should our statement of what we expect from legal authority. Right now, they are expected to be everything and more; we have to learn to compromise and hold everyone accountable. The police should be loyal to that and above reproach.
Fairydust · F
All of them need to be dismantled and changed.
The law system is upside down, ran by freemasons.
Nobody can agree on what the aims are.
America wants killing. Or not.

I don't know what you've been smoking, but nobody wants to abolish the police.
