How ironic that the Republicans are waiting on the Red districts of California to reclaim the House

The same people who keep hurling pejoratives at California as if it is 100% leftist, liberal, tree-hugging, fruits and nuts, are counting on the Red districts of California to give them a slim majority in the House, at which point Congressman McCarthy from California is odds on favorite to take the Speakership from California Congresswoman Pelosi. We don't just embrace diversity in our rhetoric; we live it.

@ron122 And you know this how?

@dancingtongue And you know it's not how?

@ron122 I've lived here for 83 years, pretty much breadth of the state from the most rural to among the most urbanized, been active in my communities. And you?

@dancingtongue So you're used to the homeless crapping in public. I've heard from people that lived there and got out. And I see on the news what a hellhole it is.

@ron122 I know enough about the problem to know it is not isolated to California and is a product of multiple factors, including inadequate mental health services, poor VA service/benefits, and income disparity. We may have more of it than most because of our high cost of living, inadequate amounts of affordable housing, and milder climate that draws in people from other states. But that has been going on since the Dust Bowl days of the Great Depression when so many Okies and Arkies descended on us. At least we work on solving our problems rather than conspiracy theories.
@dancingtongue Ive been stationed outside of SF for a lot of years and have seen it get worse and worse. It was bad enough when Jerry Brown was governor the first time, it was almost as bad the second Newsom is almost as bad, still bad though.

SF went from beautiful to a "shit hole" rather quickly that last few years, and the only thing California has done is raise their taxes even higher. Broke my heart that a once beautiful state is turning into a third world country.

Keep voting the same lunatics in though, get the same result.
