Both are great examples of the hubris of the wealthy and that Zuckberg and Musk aren't actually that special, clever, or good at what they do.

Meta was an idea nobody asked for or wanted, and Zuckerberg put everything he could into this.

Meanwhile Musk got trapped in a rugpull scheme and was forced to buy a company that's never been financially viable for like 3x its price which now has insane debt tacked on from his acquisition. And every idea he has makes it worse and drives away users and advertisers.

And people think these chucklefucks are somehow better than the rest of us. It really sucks that so many people are losing their jobs though.
