Do we need a constitutional amendment?

If the constitution says one must be 35 to be president, can we put a maximum age cap at 65?
RosaMarie · 41-45, F
While I'm not against this, if we are asking for amendments, the one that guarantees body autonomy seems far more important.
I have friends in their seventies that are sharp as a tack.

@WonderGirl1 me too, and 80s

I would agree with that idea.
Term limits and age caps one judges, senators and reps as well.

Yeah, you get right on that. Adding an amendment is super easy. And fun too!
beckyromero · 36-40, F
What we need is a MINIMUM age to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. Say, 65.

I'm not in disagreement with you on this one. Everything......anything at times is hindsight. Not unlike my personal vex of term limits.
Whom do we stand to lose if we apply those parameters. Know what I mean? We risk certain things when we place certain brackets.....and I know I'm aware of that.

@MalteseFalconPunch I'd prefer this to term limits for congress.

@MalteseFalconPunch Amendments aren't voted by the public genius
hunkalove · 61-69, M
No, but it should just be understood anyone over 65 should not get your vote. Not that your vote matters. Biden was chosen by the wealthy and powerful because he has always done what he was told to do and Trump is too mentally-ill to obey.

"They" continually dodge the Constitution on a daily basis, do we really need another amendment? Wi9ll it really stop any of them from doing what they want?
TrashCat · M
What if they turn 65 while in office?
We should be more concerned about term limits for SCOTUS and eliminating the Electoral college

@swirlie See? To many problems with this.

I think 65 is a bit low for the cap, I’m 65 now tell me why the heck am I in my kitchen?
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
I would say 80.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@Fukfacewillie I think 80 is way too old. There is a reason companies want you to retire early. Same should hold true with our politicians.
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@trollslayer Naaah, lots of wisdom in ones 70s. Don’t want to lose that necessarily.

Let the (minority) decide!
@Fukfacewillie agreed.

@MarmeeMarch No it isn't. Many government entities have mandatory retirement ages

@MarmeeMarch look how much damage power mad old freaks cause staying in power.

Age discrimination is the LAST thing that'd prevent these turds
