@TexChik If you read the story of how Ukraine was taken over by Commies they passed one law after another to starve the people. Made the farmer’s pay taxes, and would come back each month for more taxes or part of their stored grain and food. They made it against the law to hunt, or fish or catch any kind of wild animals to eat. They also would go out to the farms and prod haystacks to see if food was stored in them and go all over the farm looking to see if they could find buried cache’s of foods. If the people were not dead yet they would have taken a bite of food out of their mouths. The motive was to get the farmers to hand over their farms to the state. And upwards to 10 million people died in that famine.

@LordShadowfire nobody wants to ban hunting rifles. But since they're the guns most Americans own, creating the illusion that they'll be banned is a way the gun lobbyists and gun crazies keep people angry and unsupportive of any gun legislation at all.
The way I look it:
Own hunting rifles, you're a hunter.
Own a handgun, you like the security it provides.
Own any kind of assault rifle or gun designed to
kill maximum people in a minimum time frame,
you like the feeling of power it gives you and it should't be in your hands.
Really need one of those? Join the military where you can put it to it's intended use.

@robingoodfellow I know, right? We have a perfectly constitutionally adequate militia, run by people who keep the weapons out of the hands of the crazies while training people who want to defend our country on how to use them safely. But that's not good enough for the second amendment fetishists. 🤷‍♀️
