By all means, let's go back to the past. People can use single-shot rifles to kill their own food, and meet the Second Amendment requirement of bearing the same arms so they can form a well-regulated militia when needed. Assault rifles and other multiple shot weapons can be banned, since they will not be needed in a hunter-gatherer society.

@LordShadowfire you don’t know your history very well do you? The whole purpose of the militia was the founders did not want to have a standing army. They were totally against having a military.
