Green Energy…California Power Grid May Fail in Heat Wave

Green Energy from Solar and Wind cannot supply even the green energy needed to power your fancy new Electric Vehicles when conditions are extreme. The State officials warned that Californians would have to cut back on usage, and even avoid charging their electric vehicles due to a major heatwave targeting the state this week. It might cause blackouts on the California power grid. So much for the reliability of green energy.

The country of California needs a Trump wall put along the border to keep all the fruits and nuts from escaping into the US.

We’ll gladly secede and take our economy with us 😉 @fairgame123
@fairgame123 Meanwhile, smugglers have cut thru Trump's "border wall" over 3000 times! Turns out $100 worth of cordless power tools renders Trump's "big beautiful wall" irrelevant. Why did Trump waste so many billions on a completely ineffective barrier??

Smugglers can quickly cut a panel near the bottom and swing it out to let a crowd of people thru. A "Trump wall" is nothing more than a waste of money.

@ElwoodBlues So what you gonna do to stop the illegal aliens from coming across?
@ElwoodBlues Better than a Biden non-wall.
By the way, watch out for fentanyl-laced drugs coming north.

@Zaphod42 Deal.

@ElwoodBlues Because Biden let them.

@sunsporter1649 I would plant 1000’s of land mines along the border like Cuba put around the Navy base in Guantanamo Bay

Just seems like poor engineering to me. A solid wall is always superior. The Great Wall in China for example.
@ShadowWolf Yeah, but a solid wall costs a whole lot more. The whole 'a wall will solve immigration' claim was a giant con. 'Mexico will pay for it' was obviously another con. Trump didn't care if it worked or not, he just needed something there for photo ops and campaign ads.

@ElwoodBlues Ya, the Great Wall was constructed with collective labor of an enormous civilization the likes of which the world had never seen at the time. Material cost for an effective solid wall would be too cost prohibitive in the modern day, nevermind the labor. The tax increase for funding would be insane.
The "Mexico will pay for it" thing, sure fired people up. But the logistics of it when the president of Mexico refused to, came crumbling down. When it was said, I knew that piece was hot air.

What you said, plus drone patrols with missiles or a mounted gun. I feel that would be more a deterrent than the current wall. Think the Korean DMZ. No idiot would cross it without a deathwish.
@ShadowWolf And will Mexico pay for it?? 🤣😂😂🤣
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@ElwoodBlues Of course not. But I wouldn't mind my tax dollars going towards that endeavor. Also much cheaper than a wall.
@ShadowWolf Do you know how easy it would be for Californians to rig up old cars & stuff into disposable remote control vehicles to detonate paths thru your landmines?? Really dude, you need to get your thinking into the 21st century 🤣😂
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@ElwoodBlues I'm talking about the Mexico thing. Not California. And I said drones, with guns and missles. That is 21st century thinking.
@ShadowWolf OK, sorry, the OP asked for a wall against California and I missed the change of subject to Mexico. I'd love to see a cost estimate, per mile, for your DMZ style wall.

The DMZ stretches 250 kilometres (160 miles) along the 38th parallel ... The DMZ is the most fortified border in the world with over 2 million active military soldiers constantly patrolling both sides of the border 24/7
OUCH! That's gotta cost! The north has about 200 guard posts, so one every 0.8 miles.

@ElwoodBlues This particular thread has changed matter a few times. Anyways, the cost estimate would be far less than solid physical barrier, and even the current "Trump" barrier. We could have drones with recon gear scouting at high speeds along the border detecting activity equipped with missiles and guns to lock on target. Maybe a PA system to warn them in Spanish with a prerecorded voice before it fires. Just put a few hundred of those buzzing along the US/Mexico border, skip the land mines. I'd say easily fund-able by tax dollars.
