"A wealthy man in a fine suit and top hat fell into deep water...

He didn't know how to swim and was on the verge of drowning. Hearing his cries, another man dived into the water and saved him as his top hat floated away. The man who had almost drowned regained his breath and, for a moment, seemed grateful. Three years later, though, he returned and denounced his rescuer for not saving his hat, too."

- President Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1936

Sounds about right. I read one of a rapist suing a victim that got pregnant for child support and visitation.

a dumb story. Also seems very unlikely. What was Roosevelt's supposed point?

@beckyromero A constitutional amendment is necessary to protect the integrity of the Court. An instance where the Founders left a lacuna.

Perhaps modeled on FDR's idea.

Or a minimum age requirement, say 60 or 65.

That way there will be plenty of earlier court decisions to read and writings of a prospective justice.

@beckyromero NOT on FDR's idea.
