Elisjsha Dicken – The Good Guy with a Gun at the Greenwood Mall

15 Seconds to stop an active shooter.

The surveillance video shows Sapirman exit the restroom at 5:56:48 p.m.. He was neutralized by Dicken at 5:57:03 p.m.

@Roundandroundwego Ain't it great when Murikans go full on John Wayne? Good guy with a gun takes out a bad guy with a gun...and all the gun con-trolls pull out their hair. Maybe you can go full on commie with your incomprehensible leftist drivel and doing your little civil war dance routine.

8 out of 10 at 40 yards with a hand gun. That's my kind of gun control
Bartleby · 51-55, M
Much better than the police, for sure.

However:

3 people dead
2 wounded

1 good guy with gun takes out shooter

My math still favors being a LOT more careful about who gets a permit to buy an assault rifle or handgun.

@CorvusBlackthorne Only if it's full auto which you can't buy
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@CorvusBlackthorne Even a beer bottle
@Bartleby A thought: I would wonder, how many others might have been killed or wounded had the shooter not been brought down?

A true hero that saved countless lives

So a random dude can stop a shooter in fifteen seconds, but a whole posse of cops in full battle rattle can't manage it in 77 minutes when children are being massacred?
rfatoday · 61-69, M
Persons with a CCW stop many crimes daily, often without a shot being fired. Which is always a good thing. This gentleman stopped a threat using like force. Nothing more, nothing less. Millions of men and women across the country (yes, millions) are willing and able to do the same thing if called upon.
@rfatoday gun con-troll-ists deny the truth about how defensive gun use overwhelms criminal gun use.
rfatoday · 61-69, M
@BizSuitStacy Yes indeed. In my opinion that's because although most mean well, their basis is emotionally driven as opposed to factually driven. Sure, if nobody was armed then very few crimes involving a firearm would happen. But reality is millions of guns are here and criminals will not follow laws. Which means "gun free zones" such as malls and so forth are essentially open-season for those with evil intent. I believe this fellow violated that policy (I could be mistaken). Either way, he put 8 out of 10 shots on target from 40 yards. That's very controlled considering the adrenaline kick he must have experienced.
@rfatoday Agreed, though the constant push to disarm law abiding citizens gets tiresome. And that level of competency with a handgun under pressure is nothing short of amazing.

Award given🙂

@Silversmith Yo, instant expert, look at the facts. The mall creep was out in the open whereas they thought the school creep was holed up in a great defensive position. Obviously the leadership at the school was abysmal.

@sunsporter1649
Look up the name James Hodgkinson

You're proving my point.
This is from Wikipedia:

The attack drew a bipartisan response as many politicians immediately sent out notes expressing their anger over the shooting, recovery wishes for the injured and gratitude for the police. News of the shooting and injuries quickly reached the Democratic Congressional Baseball players, who were at their own practice at another location when the shooting occurred. They gathered together in the dugout to pray for the injured.

See, Democrats and Republicans both condemn left-wing terrorism. However, only Democrats condemn right-wing terrorism. Republicans call on their supporters to use violence and will then downplay acts of right-wing terrorism. Look at how they've downplayed the 1/6 terrorists, even trying to turn Ashli Babbitt into a martyr.
This is what I mean when I say there's violence on all sides, but only the Right has an establishment that has made violence part of their platform.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBabe I know you are gonna need a bigger shovel to push that bullschiff around.

@sunsporter1649 Thank you for admitting I'm right.
Make him the captain at Uvalde..
Here's the part you're leaving out, because you're a dishonest hack.

Indiana mall shooter fired 24 times in 15 seconds before bystander shot him dead, police say
Shooter killed three and injured two before Elisjsha Dicken fatally shot him

Sapirman shouldn't have been able to get a gun in the first place. But because our gun control system is broken, he shot five people, killing three.

@BohemianBabe I'm sorry. Touchy subject with me. It's probably like how this crap of overturning RvW has so many up in arms. (Pardon the pun)
It's the one thing that i am willing to fight for. I agree, more must be done. Truly.
@Montanaman TBH, I think most people don't want to ban guns. Right-wing media has been saying they're "coming for your guns" for literally decades. Remember Fox during Obama?
Most Americans just want things like red flag laws.
Montanaman · M
@BohemianBabe I hope so. Red flag law will help but could be abused.
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
How very interesting. Today I learned that you will scour the internet to find something that remotely fits your political agenda, then twist the facts to make sure that it perfectly fits, rather than admit that you could potentially be wrong.
Montanaman · M
@CorvusBlackthorne back at ya.🤣
