It's not up to me, or really any of us here to pass judgement. We all have opinions, but opinions at this point are all they are.
On the other hand, the closely related Justice Department actions, which are summarized below, show many criminal actions took place on the 6th, and they are working their way through them.
Summary:
Eighteen months since a pro-Trump mob ransacked the Capitol and prosecutors are closing in on another milestone: 900 arrests.
Prosecutors estimate that more than 2,000 people actually entered the Capitol unlawfully that day, which means hundreds more arrests are likely in the months to come.
So far, 325 defendants have pleaded guilty to crimes stemming from the breach of the Capitol.
Eight Jan. 6 defendants have faced jurors on felony charges stemming from their involvement in the attack on the Capitol, choosing that rather than taking plea deals offered by the Justice Department. All of them have been convicted on every charge to date.
About 200 defendants have seen their cases all the way through from arrest to sentencing, with the vast majority pleading guilty.
The actions of the Justice Department, the Judges presiding over the trials to date and the decisions of the jurors in those cases are not opinions, they are fact.
Back to the select committee. It is my opinion that the facts revealed by some, such as Barr, and others of Trump's close allies at the time, will lead to prosecution and guilty charges.
So, say what you want, the committee has, in my opinion, shown the corruption, even traitorous actions of Trump and his gang. All that is left now is for the Justice Department to bring it to the courts and let our legal system decide if the select committee is a farce or not.
So yeah, whine away, the heads, just as they are now as a result of the Jan 6 insurrection/coup or whatever you want to call it, are about to begin rolling. And when they do, opinions won't matter one whit.

@monte3 "There will be many questions as to what went wrong in Washington, D.C., during the peaceful pro-Trump protests in the National Mall that later turned into riots at the Capitol building on Wednesday. One of the sticking points was the slow law enforcement response that took hours to help the overwhelmed Capitol Police.
On Tuesday, the day before the Trump rally, Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) posted a letter explaining she did not want extra federal law enforcement personnel in Washington, D.C., unless the city's police department was consulted first.
"To be clear, the District of Columbia is not requesting other federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment without immediate notification to, and consultation with, MPD if such plans are underway," Bowser tweeted along with a picture of the letter she sent to Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, and Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy."

@sunsporter1649 again do you approve of what Trump’s supporters did on Jan 6th?
And how in heaven’s haze would what you posted exonerate anyone?
Does it make you feel any different about trump that he refused to call off his mob for over 3 hours? Unti it was obvious that the mob would not be able to stop the legal proceedings.

@sunsporter1649 also what is the source you are quoting that refers to “ peaceful pro trump demonstrations “on Jan 6th?
ron122 · 41-45, M
Jan 6th is just another act in the dems clown show.
ron122 · 41-45, M
@SomeMichGuy Don't forget about Pelosi refusing the National Guard. I wonder why.
SomeMichGuy · M
@ron122 Huh? Source?

Some of them have admitted it, but others won't.
Are they delusional, stupid, or do they just want to be like Trump?

@Roadsterrider They wish they could dupe "the base" like Cry-Baby/Victim-trump did. There's money to be made in duping "the base."
SomeMichGuy · M
@MistyCee I think that they bought this loser's bullshit and they want to believe his lies...so all three.
They wouldn't tolerate this from a used car salesperson, but it seems fine for a President, to them...

The constitution, and executive privileges make this look like a bannana republic to super powers like China, Russia, Saudia Arbia, whom are running as fast as they can away from whimpy powers like western Europe and Joe Bidens blank check.

The only thing being proven by the kangaroo court is that they will do anything to smear Trump.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
If there was anything illegal that Trump could actually be convicted of, we would be seeing the grand jury stuff in the news, not the dog and pony show in the house.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
@MarkPaul Yep, they don't have anything worthy of a criminal charge and if they lie to a grand jury the way they are lying to the nation, they could be charged with perjury.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Roadsterrider And, if those under investigation lie, like they are doing to the nation (including "the base") they WILL be charged with perjury and face civil and criminal actions. And, this includes FOX Noise and Sidney Powell and POS Michael "The Fifth" Flynn.
SomeMichGuy · M
@Roadsterrider There are all sorts of crimes in what has been laid out.
But you believe what you want.

windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Tres13 It is better since The Former Orange Banana left, but it still has issues with his Cult.

The denial is quite something -- it's some kind of pretend.

@Roundandroundwego It sounds like you only know their names by some mandatory requirement. Yes, those are random strangers.
