How is this pitch going to work with people who don't mind lying and and believe it's ok if it benefits them?

I agree, but none of this is new, and let's face it, how many Trump voters really thought he was telling the truth about crowd size, his voice on the pussy grabbing tape, his motives for extorting Zelinsky, or even the stolen election?

They like lies, when they think they can benefit from them, and they, like Trump, don't usually even deny them and instead resort to whatabouts and moral relativism.

I agree that we need to keep calling this stuff out, but we also need to keep in mind that Trump supporters and even the undecided voters have mostly already prioritized things like honesty and other human beings.

It seems like we need a new message, imo, besides us vs them.

On one level, this is about the GOP’s war on democracy and its refusal to accept defeat and support the peaceful transfer of power. But more fundamentally, it is about these Republicans’ willingness to lie — or be taken in by lies — if it suits their career ambitions. Democrats should mince no words: Such people should not hold public office.

There is no shortage of MSM articles calling out the alleged lies of Trump and his supporters.

There is a woeful dearth of articles calling out Democrats' lies, and it's not because their lies aren't plentiful.

@Thinkerbell I love it when somebody says MSM. It seems me a lot of time I would otherwise waste reading their drivel.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@LordShadowfire

So you post drivel on SW instead, with at least three accounts (VIP, no less). 😂 😂 😂
ron122 · 41-45, M
@Thinkerbell He thinks if he has 3 VIP accounts, he can post garbage all day and name call people and he won't get warned for his rudeness or have restrictions placed on his accounts.🤣
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@ron122

Yes, that seems to be an unadvertised perk of VIP accounts. 😂 😂 😂

@Thinkerbell Thats true.. But right now everyone is sort of focused on the lies surrounding an attempt to stage a coup. Was it wasnt it? Who did it? Who knew? And the Democrats dont seem to feature in that one..😷
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Thinkerbell @ron122 This is hilarious, coming from two of the biggest posters of drivel on SW.

"But right now everyone is sort of focused on the lies surrounding an attempt to stage a coup."

And of course we will only see the lies on one side of the issue, since no cross-examination is allowed.
And of course the corrupt MSM will swoon over every word of the kangaroo investigation. 😂

@Thinkerbell
Also, Corvus is a raven.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@LordShadowfire

"Corvus is a raven."

We've been through this before. Corvus is the genus of both ravens and crows, and you certainly fly better with the latter. 😂

But if you insist on a raven, can do... 🤣

LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Thinkerbell Corvus Blackthorne, my feathersona, is a raven. I know better than to expect you not to call me names, even in the middle of an intelligent discussion, because that's how you get out of them. Just want to make sure you understand.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@LordShadowfire

"Intelligent discussion"? 🤣 🤣 🤣

Look back, about 12 comments above. Your memory is short. 🤭

"I love it when somebody says MSM. It seems [saves] me a lot of time I would otherwise waste reading their drivel."
@Thinkerbell So Fox News isn’t MSM?
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@LeopoldBloom

Fox News and the NY Post are how many?
About 10% of the MSM? 🙄
@Thinkerbell How do you define MSM? Joe Rogan has a huge audience, I’d definitely define him as MSM. Isn’t his audience bigger than CNN or MSNBC?

When conservatives say “MSM,” they usually mean the two liberal TV networks and the New York Times. So it’s misleading. Rogan and Alex Jones probably influence more people. Heck, PewDiPie has a bigger audience.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@LeopoldBloom

You left out ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and the WaPo from the MSM.
Conveniently. 😂
@Thinkerbell Oh no! Corvus blocked me! 🥳 I thought he liked being called a dum-dum.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@stratosranger

Did he block you on all three of his VIP accounts? 😂 😂 😂
@Thinkerbell I am not sure what the other two are. But no worries. I’m sure he’ll get around to it
