Oil is priced internationallly. If your cost of drilling oil is 50 dollars a barrel and it is currently 105, you make money .

The reason oil prices are so high, is because the war in Ukraine disrupted oil exports from Russia and the Black Sea.

Biden canceled oil leases in Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico and other federal lands. Not because it was necessary, but because he is mentally incoherent, and he was taking orders from special interests like the tree huggers and people that think oil is a product of the devil, without offering a reasonable alternative or considering the consequences.

Biden and Pelosi are also listening to Klaus Schwab and his great reset. They want to eliminate oil, and coal without respect to the rest of the world that relies on it. Solar panels and wind turbines cannot replace the effectiveness and reliability of coal, nuclear and hydro. They are doing this under the guise of climate change, but it is actually an attempt to create socialism around the world, and they would be in charge of the one world government.

Biden released oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to reduce prices. But that is suppose to exist for a national emergency and not a political tool. Anyhow, some of the oil was exported to Europe. Yep, when it was released, tankers from Europe loaded the oil and shipped it to Europe.

Biden is not responsible for the rise in interantional oil prices, but he is responsible for limiting domestic production and the jobs lost from canceling exploration and drilling.

And noooo, it is not a conspiracy.

@Graylight Unattractive prehaps, but quite necessary.EVERTHING runs on fossil fuels and there's no viable alternative to them at this time.Simply put:the country needs the stuff.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@DavidT8899 Patently untrue.

Not too much incentive to lower prices even when the price per barrel of oil drops :( Greedy bastards !
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
And that’s not including the stock buy backs.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SageWanderer But they have stickers to counteract reality, so it's all good.

Cons cannot cite a single instance where this administration has put the kabob on any oil company's ability to drill. There are literally thousands of oil drilling sites that are not up and running due entirely the choice of their owners not electing to invest the hardware needed to begin drilling.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Vin53 Because new regulations have made drilling there cost prohibitive. Its like saying:"Why are you complaining about losing your house? You have five other properties!"But those other properties are all slums!

fascinating that the us president is responsible for gas prices world wide... how does he do that ?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Nope, the President has almost no power to regulate or change gas prices, unless we're talking of a regulated economy and rationing a la World War II.
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
Still driving? Still paying for gas?
Oh well! There must be fifty ways to fix that but you aren't. National failure

Good article. Big oil producers are creaming the profits as usual.
Interesting...
